Oh, he said he would return... but not in his normal form. He was doomed to walk the world, helping those in need, but behind this facade lay a terrible secret. Yes. He is the Incredible Hulk.

Because unless He went away, the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Godhead, could not come. Jesus told His disciples as much. The Holy Spirit proceeds, in the words of the Nicene Creed, from the Father and the Son. It was when Jesus resumed His place of authority at the Father's right hand in Heaven that it became possible for the Holy Spirit to come to earth to remain with believers for ever.

This is actually one of the most challenging theological points you could have raised, as the Orthodox Church version of the Nicene Creed describes the Holy Spirit as proceeding from the Father. Learned theologicans have been grappling with it for many centuries.

Good question! First of all, Jesus never died nor was he crucified.
God raised Jesus and sent someone who looked exactly like him.
Why would Jesus be raised from the dead and not come back to his people if he really died and rose from the dead? That's because he isn't dead yet but God will send him to fight the fake messiah (masee7 aldajjal) and Jesus will die....everyone and everything will die except the Almighty Allah (swt). By the way.. why do christians believe that Jesus was born on Dec.25? Christmas was celebrated in February...so how can they celebrate Christmas on December? If you don't believe me, then ask the priest...let's see what he has to say .

This is exactly the ? re: spirit vs material existence. If Jesus was back in a material body, he could have remained. But he appeared in the spirit form (you will remember, some of the people he spoke to were told not to touch him). It is a wonderful explanation of the spirit.

He said, "I go to prepare a place for you." That was part of the plan for him to go back to heaven. And God sent the Holy Spirit after Jesus left. It even says that Jesus intercedes on behalf of his people, so it's not as if he's just not present or not working in our lives, he's just not here walking on the earth anymore.

He ascended to the Father, where He sits at His right hand and makes intercession for us daily. Every time we sin, Christ reminds God that we are redeemed by His sacrifice and our debt has been paid. I kinda appreciate that. Every time Satan appears to point out our failings, Christ is there to plead our case.

He went to Heaven and is there to make intercession for us. He is our High Priest in Heaven before the Father.Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit to work in our lives, to instruct and guide, comfort, and convict of sin.

He went to prepare a place in heaven for us so that if we chose to follow him he will return one day to claim his people.

In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
John 14:2

So he could prepare a place for us. And just like he said, its better that he left, because we have the Holy Spirit, and he's a pretty cool guy...
