if your cats fronts are declawed, let the puppy find out on its own , the pup should start treating the cat like its own mother , the way it worked with my cat/ schnauzer pup anyway

Let the puppy run around the house for a while. Then take away the puppy somewhere where your cat can't see him, and let the cat smell his scent. Then after that put your puppy in a carrier or cage and let your cat out. Don't put the cat right up to the cage let him smell around and go as slowly as the cat wants. Repeat this for a few days. Then, once you feel they are ready without the cage, put the puppy on a lease and let the cat out, make sure the cats nails are trimmed it will take some time, but it works! If you need more help e-mail me! Good Luck!

The best way would be to put the puppy or cat in a cage for 5 minutes at a time and let the puppy or cat wander over and investigate. But do not leave them unattended as some cats go straight for the face when protecting themselves. It would probably be best to put the puppy in the cage.

OMG i love beagles they are sooo cute! If you want them to get used to each other than give them some space at first then in a couple days put them in the same room and close the dorr. Make sure that you are in there with them though. Put the puppy on your lap and the kitty next to you. Try to make them have fun. It should work.

just let the cat assert his dominance in the house, and beat up the puppy once or twice. The puppy will stop bothering the cat, the Cat will forget the dog even exists.
