What goes in my make-up box?

In my theatre make-up box what all do i need to have? And what are they best types of these items to get?
I figure i've been doing theatre fot a while might as well get my box together.

you can have make-up that comes off easily, hair clips, finger nail polish, dresses, shoes, toothpastes, hair gel, mouth wash, Cd's for relaxation and then put extra stuff in there that you like

Ben Nye offers a beginning makeup kit that covers all the basics. You should be able to pick it up at your local theatrical makeup or costume store for around $50.00.

You will want: base, powder, cheek color, shading color, highlighter color, eyeliner pencil, mascara, eye shadow, makeup remover, foam sponges, stipple sponges, brushes of various sizes, brush cleaner, pencil sharpener. For special makeup effects you'll want liquid latex, spirit gum adhesive, spirit gum remover. And did I mention makeup remover? Wipes are very handy and you'll need more than you think (cause everyone else seems to miraculously run out).

Best type is up to you. I've used my Ben Nye kit for awhile with few additions, but other actors I know swear by MAC products.

this is a short list of what i kept in mine go for stuff you have around the house and what you all ready use if its jsut for one show use what you got dont worry about buying alotta stuff but if your in it for the long hall go for it

sole shoes (don't know the proper name only cover bottom of the feet elastic around the heal and around the toes grat for pratic and barefoot dancing sceans and so mutch more)
Duck tape, black electrick tape, and flesh tone medical tape,
extra stockings, socks,
cotten balls, Qtips, mackup pads
mackup remover
cleanign wipes/baby wipes
pads,tampons (hay you never know)
asprin, midol, through spray, coff drops, bandaids small firstaid kit any outer meds you take (a exter two to three doses)
your preferd brand of mackup every thing you use becides your every day makeup (a whole nother set if you can afford it if now go for the basic stuff and go cheeper for the outher) ((shoppin clerance isnt bad ones in damaged packages and stuff and it saves money in the long run dont be afrade to get foundation a shade or two off of your shade to put in with your box you never know when you may need it or some one else may))

darker lipstick (havign more than one isnt bad)
howleen cream mackup the basic colors
bright eyeshadows
bobby pins, clear hair pins, hair bands, hair brush, hair spray, hair gel,
super glue, nail glue
small pin black light if you can find them
swiss army kniff
candy bars, crackers, bottled water
some small bills (ones and fives for food and small stuff that pops up)
MP3 player or music, a book, squees ball,any thing stress relief
Pictures of friends and family
extra compact mirrows or hand held
dispoble camera
rubber bands
a bandanna (holds hair back)
a hair dressers apron if you already have costume on and nedd makeup on dotn wont no accdents
tissues
lip gloss/chap stick
a sharpie (to put your name on stuff and outher things lol i have been know to use it to make freckles)
a copy of your lines music
your costume
street close or comfie close


and i think thats was about it lol it wasnt that big i got a old stage box off a graduating member and every thing had its place i was on stage and back thew middle and high school and im at WKU now and still goign

go threw you box monthley expacally when your not usign it shake foundation up replace broken compacts or place in plastic bags throw away all trash to keep it clean and you should be good to go
