Well, i'd say a blow dryer but you said your hair is damaged. After you get out of the shower...COMB your hair with a wide toothed comb. If you brush it with a brush, you'll break the ends really easily. After you comb it, don't put your fingers through it, it'll just make it more wavy and give you tons of friz. Get a straitening balm or serum, comb it through and let it air dry. Just make sure after your done combing it, not to put your fingers through it. Good luck.

My hair won't straighten with simple products either. Honestly, lately I have concentrated on trying to make my hair curlier.. because it is easier.
However, I would recommend going to a stylist and having them perm your hair straight, or get your own perming solution to do the same. Also, the amount of damage taken on by your hair from a straightener can be reduced. The hotter the flat iron, the less damage. I know, it sounds illogical. But, the hotter the flat iron gets, the less amount of times you have to pull it through your hair. I recommend the CHI iron. It is the best flat iron and produces the least amount of damage. Be prepared to spend some money. (And stop using the creams and shampoos - they are only making the problem worse... I promise)

well you can blow dry it straight but thats another form of heat, which kills your hair as well. You can permanently straighten your hair although that may cost a lot of money. What worked for me sometimes is to shower then put your hair up in a poneytail/loose bun with a scrunchie not a hair tie, if you do it with a hair tie that may leave a dent in your hair but try a scrunchie it may leave a little wave in your hair but still come out somewhat straight sorry i'm not much help
good luck

You could blowdry it out with a big round brush or use the giant heated curlers but you won't get the shine or sleekness that you would with a straightner. If your worried about the damage, there are products out there that will protect your hair from heat damage. Just go to your favorite salon and ask for it.

A ceramic flat iron. If you want a little "bounce" try using a big barrel curling iron. It takes out the frizz and kinks but leaves some body.

from my experience the only way to get straight hair is from a flat iron. I use a deep condition mask on my hair once a week to keep from frying it!

Ceramic hair straighteners are supposed to be a lot better for your hair. They are more expensive though.
