Face it, we're losing...It's lasted longer than WWII. We're no better off than three years ago. We've spent billions of dollars. We've lost many American lives. 20,000++ "wounded". We have 20 something year olds coming home without an arm, leg, hand, eye....The Iraqi people are even worse off. And most of them don't even want us there. They should tattoo "Duh" on Bush's forehead.

We are simply holding the fort until the Iraqi militarist infrastructures core is solid enough to where a military coupe isn't a probability. Then the 300,000 man army will decimate the Al-Sadir militia (extremist Shiites) and the former ruling "minority" sect of Sunni extremists(Saddam loyalists).
Unfortunately tens of thousands innocent Iraqi's will die as a result of ridding the country of most of the Extremist Wacko's.
The United States military is very capable of doing this yet can't , the cost of being called the new butchers of Baghdad is too high a price to pay.
The far left has used all they can against the current administration to gain power including circumventing the on the ground Commanders plans to win this war.
They can't just come out and say what the plan is because the surrounding extremist countries can play their chess pieces accordingly.
American politics at their worst in a time when unity is the key ingredient to victory. Both parties are fighting for who takes the credit ans subsequent power and faith amongst the American population. Sad but true.
Fight To Unite

Well if you look at the death toll, which I know any Jon Stewart watching liberal does, you'll see that not only are we covering the spread but if this was football, we'd be winning about 300,000 to 2,900. I'd say that if we actually let our troops do what they're trained to do, you'd see victory in Iraq within the year. They're not PR people, they're not humanitarians, we train them in war tactics and killing the enemy and they're very good at it. Keep the jounalists out and let our guys win.

All they ever wanted to achieve in Iraq was permenant bases, the fact that it's now in chaos gives them perfect reason to build them.
It's called
problem - reaction - solution

We easily took Iraq, and were MEDIOCURLY maintaining it. We need more boots on the ground, the end.
