nose bleeds are caused by the broken capillaries in your nose. To help prevent the capillaries from breaking I suggest keeping your room moist at night (humidifier) and as well using vaseline in your nostrils. Basically, you have thin skin and your capilliaries are being broken on a consistent basis...if this persists I suggest going to your G.P. they maybe able to perscribe something

I used to get them a lot too when I was a little kid :) It's ok, it gets better as you get older or as you learn to deal with it.

Sometimes bloody noses can be caused by blowing too hard, which ruptures the blood vessels in your nose. While they clot quickly (using the right methods) they're still a massive pain when they happen.

Here's a passage taken directly from www.medecinenet.com:

"The nose is a part of the body that is very rich in blood vessels (vascular) and is situated in a vulnerable position on the face. As a result, any trauma to the face can cause bleeding which may be profuse. Nosebleeds can occur spontaneously when the nasal membranes dry out, crust, and crack, as is common in dry climates, or during the winter months when the air is dry and warm from household heaters. People are more susceptible if they are taking medications that prevent normal blood clotting (Coumadin, warfarin, aspirin, or any anti-inflammatory medication). Other predisposing factors include infection, trauma, allergic and non-allergic rhinitis, hypertension, alcohol abuse, and inherited bleeding problems."

As you can see they can also be caused by nothing at all. If they persist, you might want to check with your doctor to see if you have an underlying OTHER medical condition that could be causing them. I know that when I got older and got my hypertension under control my nosebleeds ceased :) I hope you get them resolved soon!

i used to have the same problem as you but in hot weather, just keep urself cool, dnt get too stressed, see ur doctor as well as it cud be due to a high blood pressure, the doc can give u cream that u put up ur nose once it stops bleeding to help prevent further bleed and u can also have ur nose cortilised, where by they stick a hot needle up ur nose and seal the blood vessels, dont worry it doesnt hurt just tickles. but u may grow out of it, I did, but there are things that can be done, seriously see ur doctor they can do somethin to help which wont be painful! good luck

It could be from the colder weather, and the dry air this time of year. Try putting a bit of vaseline or moisturizer on a cotton swab and putting it in your nose. I know it sounds gross, but it really can help. Also, drink lots of water, and try a humidifier. If it keeps happening, or if the bleeds are really heavy, or happen for longer than a couple of days, I would see an MD.

Sounds like your nasal passages are dry. To prevent and treat:
Nasal saline spray will moisten your nasal passages and help them heal. Also sleep with a humidifier in your bedroom and a pillow case cover or towel or your pillow till the nose bleeds subside. The saline also will help clean and clear the residue of blood still in your nose.

Just in the morning, or all day long? It's not uncommon for people to get nose bleeding from drying of the nasal mucosa, which is more common in winter, especially if you have heating in your house, which may further dry the air.

I would start using nasal spray! Nose bleed can be from the nasal cavity getting to dry with the cold weather! Nasal spray will keep it moist in the nasal cavity and keep you from having nose bleeds so much!

If it's during your sleep, use a humidifier. Applying vaseline also helps...

During the day, try to avoid blowing your nose too hard, or even at all. Avoid lifting heavy objects or straining...

a little dab of Vaseline in each nostril will help your nose stay moist inside, and may help cut down on the bleeds.
