Dear badferret-
No. It saddens me to hear this. Christians are born with the same sin nature as everyone else on this planet. I don't hate people who are not saved. My desire is to share the gospel with those who would want to listen.
Jesus came to save the lost. Christians are to follow His example.
This whole thing is offensive to those who do not want any part of the gospel.
I will tell you straight out that I do not hate "sinners". I am sad for those who don't want the gift of salvation that Jesus offers.
Sincerely, Redeemed

There are people who somewhat do no longer think of what they are doing is sin. They have not been uncovered to the fact or maybe reason away some factors of whats actual. We (Christians) have all been there, with the point to talk and somebody got here and advised us approximately Christ's redemption, love and a sparkling thank you to stay. We have been sinners (and in specific circumstances do sin), yet we did no longer get a sturdy be attentive to-how of what that somewhat meant. God mentioned in Romans 5:8 - "yet God demonstrates His very own LOVE in direction of us, in that mutually as we've been nonetheless sinners, Christ died for us." (NKJV) Now if God despatched Jesus to die for the sinner, which He did, why shouldn't we like people who sin, out of their sin? tell them the fact, possibly they do no longer somewhat be attentive to the fact of whats maximum surprising and incorrect to any extent further those days. II timothy 2:24-26 teaches us we would desire to be gentle and not attempt with all adult adult males...

No, it is possible to love the sinner and hate the sin. If you were a parent you would understand this concept. If you have a 5 yr old kid who paints your black couch white, puts hair gel on your Lab dog and then kills the neighbour's rabbit. You still love the little brat, but you hate what he has just done,Big Time. Same thing.

Nope. I love my best friend to death, and he is gay. I see how his lifestyle has brought bad things into his life, and I hate it that he has to endure that. Luckily, the Lord has spoken to his heart and he is making the first steps into giving his life to the Lord, and I know God can do miracles and take away that part of his life. I don't love my friend any less becuase of what he's done. We are all sinners, we all do wrong, if I were to say I hate the people who sin, then I'd hate everyone in the world, including myself.

No, not at all! Its opposite. There are many lifestyle choices that I do not agree with due to my religion. However, I enjoy many many peoples company who live their lives these ways.
It is not my turn to judge, so if someone wants to live that way, and it does not affect me, and they do not push that on me, I absolutly love hanging out with them. But I will never agree with what they are doing no matter how much I like that person.
Hate the SIN, not the SINNER.
(and I believe we are all sinners, (including myself) so its not an arrogant point of view either)

No, you can hate the sin they are in....we should not hate anyone. I know we get angry at people for certain things or dont like being around them...but that is only because of their sin- it is their sin that makes them uninviting- that causes us who believe to not want to hang around them...
Doesn't that make sense? And Remember God can change someone's heart in an instant- for many are being saved each day by hearing His wonderful Gospel of Jesus Christ...and they are repenting from sin- turning away from it...and I praise God for that!! We should still be kind to those who are in sin, we do not have to hang out with them, but speak kindly to them and pray for them....to be honest I feel sorry for those who are living in sin and do not care. I ache for them, because I know of salvation through Jesus Christ and I just wish others could know His love.

I think that is a much over used phrase, that Christians put into an answer so they don't have to have an actual fact filled stand.
Most people don't care for a blunt this is why I believe why I believe, and most don't want to give it.And that is why it is used so much.
from a Christian, be blessed ~vicki

No. It means that I can love someone who does something I don't like or approve of. It's a way of saying that our love isn't conditional. You can choose to sin, but that won't make us love you any less. It's not arrogant to love someone.

Heh, no. You just said in your question that you do LOVE the person. That doesn't mean that you have to support that person harming themselves. It has absolutey nothing to do with hating that person at all. It's loving them so much that you only want the best for them.
