I'm going to be making egg nog the fast way (pre-made) but i want a kick to go with it... i was told that Bourbon would be good to add... or what other alcohol would be good to add?

There is no finer bourbon whiskey than those that are made in Kentucky. Jim Beam is probably the most popular to come out of the state. Try it.

Try Jack Daniels or Rum just don't put so much. The alcohol should not be overbearing and you should barely smell/taste it in a single serving of egg nog. Add about 1/2 shot of alcohol per serving, maybe even less. Taste and season with nutmeg.

It's hard to be Old Number 7, Jack Daniels. If it is more kick that you want, Fighting C**k (sensored, but a real name) is a bourbon that is around 107 proof. And either is good with 7UP if nog is not what is wanted by guests.

Maker's Mark would be a perfect egg nog bourbon. If it was me, I'd use Irish Whisky (paddy's, or a decent mid priced Irish), you could also use Scotch or whisky, but if you do don't waste money on a single malt.

Jim Beam is a bourbouny whiskey...it's yummy. And when you run out of "da nog" it's great with Coke. And my favorite drinky drink is Southern Comfort and Mt. Dew...tastes like pineapple juice with a kick. Its fantastic.
