i want another dog cause it gets lonely without her now...im the only child still at home (brother moved out)
what should i tell my parents, to convince them to let me get a dog?

I would let them know how you feel.. that you are lonely now without your pet.. but keep in mind that if they get you a dog, they are commiting to the animal too.. how old are you? when are you leaving home? are you going to take the pet with you when you leave? are you going to leave it there? Those are all things you need to discuss with them.. if you are only going to be home for another year or two.. it might not be fair to them for you to get a pet if you are going to move out and leave it there. However, they might be OK with that... you wont know until you ask :)

I would just tell them how you feel. Tell them that you're really lonely without your dog and that you want another one. Also bribes work sometimes, try telling them you'll do extra chores or something along those lines. You may want to try researching to find a new dog yourself also, to show responsibility.

it might be a while. it was more than 3 years for my mom to be able to handle bringing in a new dog, she just didnt want to lose one again.
just keep asking. or, do what i did and just bring one home oneday
