I don't hate pagans, gays, atheists or non believers. What I find on Yahoo is just some very nasty people who cannot ask a question without it being extremely gross about Jesus who I love. In my life I know all the about types of individuals and love them all. Yahoo has a way of getting us pissed off at each other. So Hugs to all and Have a Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays or have a sip of beer and Cheers.

Exactly, they hate the sin. Hate is wrong, you shouldn't hate anyone, because it's the same as killing them. There are alot of fake christians out there that don't know what they're doing or saying. What Jesus said is truth. We're suposed to bring all those people to God. Not hate them. Whoever hates them is NOT a real christian. Being a christian is MUCH more than going to church and reading the bible when you're suposed to. It takes understanding. And I will be praying for you.

if the christians are generalizing everyone because they hate ALL of them you're generalizing ALL of them by just saying that christians hate everything, not all christians are like that.
-people could not agree with pagans simply because they have been raised to know that it's against their own religion
-there isn't much evidence that homosexuals are born that way
-christians may be defending themselves or educating an atheist of their beliefs, simply because they want to share their belief, no harm intended =]. and sometimes they may be aggressive because the atheists verbally attack them.
-i dont believe jesus said "love all as your equals and not hate anyone just 'assept' them the way they are"

also, i've never really met a christian who hated someone because of their beliefs because, well, that also goes against their religion. many believe to love the sinner but not the sin. if they defend their belief, perhaps aggressively, that's no reason for you to say they are hating, they are just defending their own belief.

i'm not going to say that this is the case for all christians, because then i would be doing the same as you for generalizing but this is usually the case.

sorry if you don't understand! thank you

Christians should not hate people. They love their Creator and seek to love what He loves and hate what He hates. God loves people. They are His precious creation (not His children unless/until they choose to be His way). He hates sin because He is Good and Holy. He sees how sin hurts everything. He wants better for us, He wants a relationship with us, He cannot have a relationship with someone characterized by sin.
I don't have to understand all the ways that sin hurts. He said it is so, it is so. However, I do see many ways that sin hurts us, many of the consequences are not immediately noticeable. I hate that sin separates us from our Creator and mourn for those that will spend eternity apart from Him. It is especially frustrating that they choose hell over Christ, when He has suffered so much to pay the price for their sins. Yes, I do believe the Bible is telling me the truth.

People are NOT born homosexual. Although we are all predisposed to certain sins because of the fallen state of the world and man, it is an outcome of sin. I doubt many people (if anyone) sets out to become a homosexual or fornicator or etc.. However if someone is sexually abused as a child, if they do not have a good relationship or role model with both parents, and/or if they are constantly bombarded with sexual and sensual images, they are more likely to become sexually dysfunctional. I am not blaming them, I am hating the sin that has entrapped them, and the sin that was perpetrated aginst them in the first place. I am hoping they will choose to break the cycle of sin, now, before they inflict it on others.

Jesus said to love others. In Matthew 28: 18Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to OBEY everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (emphasis mine) This is not leaving them to wallow in their sin. This is loving enough to teach the truth so that they may be delivered from their sin.

On what specifically are you basing your assertion that Christians hate these things you have briefly mentioned?

It's not so much that I believe the Bible is the truth. It's that God is the light, the truth and the way. The Bible is just a reference guide, or self-help book, to help me stay on track.

You're confusing love with complacency. God wants us, well those of us who are Christians, to stand up for his Law and Word. That's part of our job as Christians.

To be complacent and allow others to stray off course, and miss the mark, is irresponsible. The Bible says "to those who are given much much will be expected/demanded." So Christians are expected to hold themselves to a higher standard, which fails to always happen (I think Bill Clinton is a Baptist but he had extramarital affairs time and again), and to encourage others to do the same.

What other questions do you have?

You use the word "hate" and I do not know of any christian who "hates" but rather disagrees or disapproves, and that is ok- infact we are not to condone anything that goes against God. We are to stand up for the truth- and be examples of Christ. That is to love without bashing- but also show them the truth. I do not hate anyone- I know there are many out there who just have not received the gospel of Christ, and when they heard it, they did not care- it saddens me more than anything. When I see people being blasphemous towards God, I do get a righteous anger inside only because I love the Lord and do not want to see Him being taken light of or messed with---just like if you had a son or daughter, our spouse and people were being mean to them....I do not think you would sit back and do nothing...
We are to share the truth in love...but not leave out the truth- very important~

I hate no one. As a christian you are taught to speak the words of the lord to help others. As a Christian- I will indeed pray for your soul because I know God would not allow me to be hurt for praying for someone else's well being. I do not believe in Karma. I don't believe homosexuals are BORN homosexual- you BECOME homosexual later in life. I don't hate atheists- I pity them and some are so adamant and cannot listen to anyone else's opinion on anything. I've listened to yours- now will you listen to mine?

Are you really serious in thinking that Christians don't understand these things? That we have no knowledge of the world we live in?

Please show me the scriptures that you are referring to that Jesus said?

I know that the word says, Love your neighbor. But first it says Love the Lord your God with all your heart mind and strength.

No where in there does it say love the sin of the world. Don't know anything about other people just accept what ever they are as okay.

I am not to judge, which I try very hard not to, but I can have an opinion and a voice.

First of all Jesus didn't say that, but he did say love those who hate you and who despitefully use you. Love your enemy. But stop categorizing christians, you don't know all Christians. I don't believe in some stuff some christians do, so I mean it's not fair to throw all Christians in the same box. I love people. Whether they are different race, gender, spirtual, non-spiritual. I know some Aetheists and I love them. I odn't bash them I just tell them what I feel about the God I believe in and that's that. So check the christians you called christians. Remember it was the religious leaders taht crucified Jesus, Himself. So if I was back in those days would I have agreed just because I was considered one of them.....not likely.

This is more of a response to those answering this question saying that homosexuals are not born that way.

Honestly, who would truly decided and freely choose to be a homosexual in this day and age? Yes, we are a more liberal, freer society then the past, but there is MASSIVE discrimination against homosexuals in our present day society. If someone had the free choice to be hetrosexual or homosexual - who would willing choose to be homosexual?

It is something in our genes, or the chemicals and hormones in our bodies that guide our sexual preferances. Genetists and Scientists are making more discoveries everyday. It's nature not nurture, if your sexual preferance was based on the way you were raised than people raised by heterosexuals would be heterosexual - but obviously that is not the case. Heterosexuals are raising homosexuals and homosexuals are raising heterosexuals.

Please use some common sense when thinking about these things. Would you willing choose to be a homosexual in today's society?
