Would you be scared?

This is sorta about a relationship, but this is what happened. I think my gf has some really big issues that were given to her some time ago, but these issues get in the way of us having a more serious relationship (We have talked about it but she is terrified to even touch on the subject). I met her for breakfast, told her exactly what I was thinking and how I wanted us to both let go of our pasts. She didn't really respond like I had hoped. But anyways, I am driving home, frustrated and agitated, driving up my street. I said just a little prayer asking that I be given some sort of sign about what I should do. No joke or exaggeration: no more than 2 seconds after that a squirrel ran into the road and I ran over it but didn't flatten it but definitely broke its back and I saw it crawl back off the side of the road. Honestly, I about lost it right then and there. If that's a sign, what do you think it meant?

I think it's a sign that you're girl is like that squirrel. She's not in her comfort zone, doesn't know which way to turn, and is scared of getting crushed. Sounds like therapy would help a lot.

You have to make a decision: How long are you willing to wait for her to choose a path?

In the end, it's going to be a self fulfilling prophecy. She's going to hold out on you till you crush her by dumping her. Then she can say she was right all along. You can't win this one.

Put her out of her misery, and find you someone who really wants to be in a relationship with you. After that, since you're a praying man, include her in your nightly. That will help both of you to deal with breakup.

I cant accurately tell you what the squirrel incident meant.But i suggest you to redefine your relationship with your gf.Next time when you meet her,try to make her comfortable talking about her issues with you.If you need to get going with her she needs to support you by openly communicating about her issues with you.Good communication is key to every successful relationship.I also suggest you not compel her to get to the bottom of this.Give her reasonable time to think over getting serious with you or not.Offer any support whenever she needs it and be there for her.
This may make her feel comfortable and secure talking to you about what she really feels about this relationship.
Sometimes we should trust our intuition coz its the universe communicating with us just like in case of your squirrel incident.
When i first met my ex he accidently played Avril Lavigne's ''Love is complicated'' song.When i heard it my intuition told me dont fall for this guy coz over time this love will get complicated.I ignored it and fell for him,and after 10 months of our relationship it got very complicated,Thats when i remembered about the song and the message i got from the universe.I wish i obeyed it in the beginning to save myself heartbreak.
