You can look in the classifieds of the insider type automotive publications. But, more times than not, it's just word of mouth when a dealership comes for sale.
Also, don't forget to just approach dealer principals. Some might be entertaining the idea of selling, but not wanting to put the word out.

You can contact the manufacturer of the brand line you are wishing to sell and they can sometimes assist you in knowing dealers looking to sell

If you have to ask, you don't have enough contacts in the business to survive. Build your network first.
