Have you tried putting a penny in the slot? Seriously though, you don't give any indication of the problem, or whether gas or electric! Good Luck.

No oven during the holidays can be a disaster.........and there is no law on the books that says you MUST have turkey for Christmas.........I decided years ago that wrestling with a turkey just wasn't worth the effort......so I don't do the "traditional" Christmas as I live on the beach in Southern California, we have steamed King Crab Legs, Sweet and Sour Carrots and grill roasted corn off the cob......the crab takes 8-10 minutes to steam and the others I can do the day before, and a stunning dessert: Pumpkin Mousse Torte......Do they have Honey Baked Ham stores in the UK? Or something to that effect?? Or you can make it an entire appetizer (pre purchased) dinner, finger food........with several types of outstanding desserts........remember, no one remembers what they had for dinner, but they ALWAYS remember what they had for dessert....
Main thing, you still have a few days to collect your thoughts, and for God's sake, don't stress out about this......everything will work out just fine.....Happy Holidays!!

Have you got a crock pot? You can roast your turkey in it and even do some baking. You could also grill your meal. If you have a propane grill, sometimes you can do some baking on that. Search the internet for stove top recipes you can make with what you have on hand.
what a bummer. sorry that happened at christmas!

Pot roast works well. Or put the turkey in a large saucepan with about half an inch of oil in the bottom and fry roast it. (The saucepan lid needs to be on or you'll finish up with turkey ceiling)

Do you have a BBQ? It will take a while but you can BBQ it, you will have to keep adding briquettes to keep the fire going and you will put the coals in a circle so there are none directly under the turkey. Put and old pan in between the coals, it will keep them in place and it will catch the drippings for gravy.
