I think they love how soft it feels against their skin, and how good it smells. Really I think long hair shows off your femininity. That 's beautiful.

I have hair past my knees--and I get stopped by just as many gals as I do guys--its not a common thing to see and I get told by some that they remember their Mom or Grandmother having this long hair--its like a memory lane--and then on the other hand its really girlie--men have short hair --and girls don't--so some men see it as a really girlie thing and like it--

Because only a few, a very few do look good with short hair. Take a look around you, fat chicks and older chicks have very short hair. Its like the new: I know I dont have what you want so I am just gonna cut my hair guy-like style just because is easy to take care of that way.
However I have met some (like three girls in my entire lifetime) that look absolutely gorgeous with short hair.
