Well . . . considering that most "mutual" breakups are not mutual at all, no one answer would do. If the woman was the one that wanted to break up, and it took the man by surprise, it could take several days to several months for him to recover. For most, a few weeks is about the bare minimum. If he broke it off, then he's probably over it as soon as he does it. If you're eying a guy who just broke up "mutually," you shouldn't worry about this. Just go talk to him! Good luck!
