my friend is a guyu and he put his arm around me. he already has a girlfriend and i didnt know if that meant he liked me or considers me a sister. he put his arm around my shoulders if that means anything and it was only for a period of about 2 seconds. thanks.

He probably just feels comfortable around you enough to put his arm around you.
It probably isn't a sign that he likes you. But It could be...only he knows for sure.
But i'd say he just thinks of you as a good friend.

Oh i consider it as a friendly gesture.some feel comfortable placing thier arm around thier friends.
