Yes. The government / bureaucratic process moves very very slowly, here in the USA--especially now, since everything and everybody are considered threats. Keep all your receipts and documents in a safe place and be sure you keep the same address. If you move, be sure to change your address with the post office AND with the government agency to which you applied for the card. Sorry. But, hey, welcome to the USA.
Here is some more information for you:
If you were granted permanent resident status or entered the U.S. with an immigrant visa more than 60 days ago and have not received your first permanent resident card, please call 1-800-375-5283 " Maybe these people can send you in the right direction.
As for the jerks who corrected your spelling and were sarcastic to you, please accept my apologies for such bad behavior and just ignore them. Part of our freedom of speech is also freedom to be rude to others, while hidden behind a keyboard. Nevertheless, it is a freedom.

Unfortunatly it does take a long time, and the closer you get the more impatient you become. Also, if you applied for your K-1 you won't be getting a green card, you will be getting your K-1, then you have to come to America, get married within 90 days of your entry, apply to change your status to a permanent resident and THEN you get to really wait ... longer than six months for your actually green card and right to work.

Believe them,it will take that long,or longer depending on what mood they're in. Hopefully they at least gave you your work permit so you can get a legitimate job.

Yes. In some field offices it could take even longer. Just be patient, and be sure they have an updated address.
Welcome to America!
