I was with this guy Friday night, and it was great. Now he's saying that he wants me to not be with anyone else. I am really feeling him and want to be with him, but then there's the problem with the racist parents. Do you think that I should just see what happens before dropping the bomb on my parents?

Go for it. Don't let that stop you. Maybe one day you'll force them to open their eyes.

It depends if you live with your parents or not. If you're living in their house, they might make it difficult for you guys to see each other, or they might try to kick you out if you keep seeing him.
If you don't live with your parents, and you're feeling each other, start a relationship. No one can live your life but you, and all it comes down to is how happy the two of you are with each other. If the two of you stay together for a while, eventually your parents will find out. Don't drop the bomb yet, but be ready for the fallout that racist family members might have with you.

don't ever hide anything from your parents. If they find out later on that you're seein this guy without you telling them, that's exactly what it will be a BOMB! You know racism isn't right so even though parents are supposed to be smart and wise, in this aspect they're not. You love or like who you want to, whoever your heart chooses ok? No matter what they say, don't let anyone take your love away.

How old are you? Is this the first guy you've dated? I'd be wary of anyone who said they didn't want me to see anyone else after just one date. Slow down, play the field, have fun, and live long. Happy Holidays.

Yes, take your time and date before introduction. Also, I would be careful about commiting to someone, regardless of the race, so quickly. If, in time, you fall in love and decide you really want to be with this man, then commit to one on one. I would then have a conversation with your parents in private. If they really love you, they will have to accept the boyfriend. Don't be shocked about their reaction, and they will not be open to this at all, at first, however maybe in time.....

Godd luck and take it slow!

Dear lost Soul,

If your parents are that bad, then why be around them if you have to? 21st century here. If he makes you happy be happy don't be misserable due to a subconcious-ness to want to make your parents proud of you. We all want approval from our parents, don't do that if it might risk your happiness in life. You also need to understand where your parents come from, but in todays society there is no pure-bred or persons of one origin. it's called migration and every culture has moved around the world places.

Happiness is important, if he makes you happy then why would you ruin that to please someone? Make yourself happy first with whom ever it is.

Definetely see what happens first. If it looks really serious, then sit your parents down for the talk. If not, then who needs to know?

yes, wait and see what happens, no point in putting extra friction on your parents and him until you find out whether or not it's going to last
