Why do some many girls still dye their hair blonde when it's so damaging?
I'm guilty of even wanting to go back blonde! Is there any way to be blonde and have healthy hair? Are the celebs managing it?

There is a new method! Where you're brown is on the bottom, and blond is on the top, and comes together in a really natural way!

But I got it almost free. Cause when my blond grew out, that's what happened. What I always wanted was a golden brown. And I couldn't get any of the stylists to listen, they made it blond anyway. Even though I told them No! But I got it now.

And another answer that said, have it done professionallly is right. Cause that should give you the best results for it.

When this blond is gone, I am done. I am done bleaching for at least a good while. My scalp needs a rest for a while.

But, now you asked, is going with brunette better? Well, as far as natural, yes. But I have heard as far as dye, brown can cause cancer.

Now I want to find out. But henna dyes, natural veggie dyes, work great too. But even they can irritate the scalp alittle, so I am gonna weight until, I figure May 2007, and that is a good rest healthwise, too.

Brunette and healthy! A full head of shiny healthy hair is so much more attractive than dry, damaged hair, regardless of the color. And I would have to say that the celebs are not managing this very well either - check out the "Undressed!" column on MSN for scathing reviews of anyone and everyone who steps out in public with a damaged, over-dyed mane or - horrors! - ratty extensions. (There is some comment as to the poor taste in clothing as well.) I seem to have gotten off track... oh, yeah... hair... keep it as natural as you can, and you will come out on top!

So many girls want to dye their hair blonde because society is set up where blonde hair blue eyes is protrayed as the american beauty. I personally feel that their is nothing pretty about skunk blondes. Blonde hair and black roots are not attractive. i have only seen 1 celeb yet that has dyed blonde hair that looks good thats reese witherspoon and thats only because her hair wasnt dark from the beginning it was kinada strawberry blondish looking. Natural blondes like jennifer aniston, alicia silverstone thats nice. These black girls walking around with blonde hair not cute. Only people that need to be walking around with dyed hair is old people with grey their trying to hide.

You can't dye your hair any color an expect it to be healthy. Its impossible. Especially going so light. Celebrities Pay a lot of money for someone to do their hair. Trust me, when their hair is not styled, you can see how damaged it really is. Why do you have to be blond? Brunette is such a better color and it brings out your features more. Young girls think men like blondes more-it's not true. I was blond for five years, now for the last 4 years ive been my natural brunette color, and guess what? a lot more men notice men :)

Heres an example..Everyone wants jessica simpsons fake blond hair.It always looks perfect right? the first link is of her with her hair normal(just like one of us) the 2nd link is when she has paid Ken Paves 300-600 to do her hair and make it look healthy...

I think women ar much more beautiful when they let their natural colors shine! Even if you get a good blonde dye job, it doesn't match your eyebrows, it grows out and looks weird, and it's just not necessary! Explore your brunetteness! Check out brunette models and actresses and see what they do with their hair.

The celebs can get away with it because they do those $200-$500 treatments on their hair that you can only get at top of the line salons and it basically rebuilds your hair.

you can definately be blonde and healthy. but maybe you should get it done by a professional or at least ask them how to do it right. and once you do dye it, use a ton of conditioner the first few times you wash.

Wash your hair everyother day...It makes a difference. And trim your hair often. IF not , the hair uses all essential oils and repair mechanisms to nourish the unhealthy dry ends. So cutt back on washing, and step up the trim sessions.
