I called the doctor and she said to watch her and if it hadn't passed through by Tuesday she would need a x-ray. She also asked if my daughter was wheezing...at the time I talked to the dr. she wasn't(yesterday) But now she is wheezing, so I am stressing about what to do. She also has had a cold these past couple of days, so the wheezing could be related to that. The reason I am asking is because my Dr. office is now closed for the holiday. Any advice? Has this happened to you?

If she swallowed it yesterday and hasn't stopped breathing she's fine. Mine swallowed a penny a year ago and it came out the next day when she pooped.

Half Insane must not have kids! Kids will swallow just about anything - even if you are watching their every move. And kids are fast! You can't stop them sometimes. I would take her to the Dr. ASAP just to make sure the wheezing is due to a cold and not a dime. You can go to an Urgent Care and they should be able to do an x-ray there, if needed. It'll be less of a chaotic experience than the ER. And don't beat yourself up over it. Someone in my office had to take their 3 yr. old to the ER for swallowing a Christmas ornament! It happens!

you need to bring your baby to hospital right now if she is wheezing. my cousin when he was younger swallowed a peanut, we got part of it out thought he was okay. he started to wheeze and we took him to the hospital. turns out that the rest of the peanut was in his lung.

I'm sure she's fine. Keep an eye on her though. If her wheezing gets really bad then take her to the ER or a walk-in clinic. Maybe give her some prune juice to help "move things along" if you know what I mean.

If she were my kid I would get her to an emergency room or some other office that is open. Better safe than sorry. What does it hurt to take her? What if you don't and it harms her? Go to the Doctor and sleep well tonight.

Take her to a walk-in clinic. Your doctor takes an early holiday. Find another one or ask them who you should turn to when they're closed.
