Everyone seemed to need to know more so I will be more specific: He is 18 months old. Had a stomach bug 11/8 had a cold 11/18 had the stomach bug again 12/2 and now has something again not sure what cause we go to the DR in a few hours but has a temp of 101.7 last night and 100.4 this morning. Doesnt that seem like alot of illness in a month or is it true that during these months once you get sick and your immune system is down you stay down for awhile?

101.7 and 100.4 aren't exactly fevers. His body temperature will fluctuate and it's normal. It's only truly a fever if it's 102 or above.

Does he seem sick, or do you just think he is because he felt warm? If he doesn't seem sick, then he probably isn't. If he's fussy, nauseous, not eating, etc. then he probably is getting the bug again.

He really hasn't been sick that much if you think about it. It is flu & cold season, and he is 18 months which means he's more susceptible to illness. I'm sure he's fine and there's nothing seriously wrong..it's just that time of year.

And really, if you want my opinion: Don't bug a doctor with this. He might not even be sick..and even if he is it's just the flu and not something really worth going to the doctor for.

Is your son in daycare? My daughter is, and has been sick just as frequently, more with colds than stomach bugs. I agree, the low grade fevers are not really serious, especially since he's at the teething age. If the stomach bug involves vomiting, and it's recurrent, I would say yes get him checked out- just for your piece of mind. Don't worry about bothering the dr. They are more than happy to take your money. If the bug is more diarrhea, could also be the teeth.
