Just curious because I don't hear a big uproar about Easter.

It depends on who is saying it and why. If someone is unaware that I don't celebrate Christmas and is wishing me well, I don't have a problem. I happily return the good wishes. If someone knows that I don't celebrate it and says it in a nasty way (like the answer you received from festeringhump) then I find it rude. If I don't know whether a person celebrates Christmas, I usually wish them Happy Holidays. But the responses to that range from a friendly "I hope yours are great too" to a full-blown, nasty lecture on exactly what holiday I need to wish to others.

No. No-one is. Its a bit insulting to hear this sort of thing actually. The whole notion about other faiths that live in a country that celebrate Christmas/easter would be offended by it. One does not have to be agnostic, atheist, humanist etc to be tolerant.

No. It's those that usually say Merry Christmas are the ones offended and turn the story around to blame others of being offended. Some people are offended by 'Happy Holidays"

non secular Fundamentalist get bothered whilst people say merry Christmas because of the fact Christmas is spelled with the be conscious Christ. That the main reason. and that they do no longer % people to assert Christ because of the fact in there faith they suspect in Jesus Christ. Christmas is a trip for many faiths. Like christian, catholics, baptist ,mormons and Lutherans. the main reason people think of christmas is a christian trip is principally because of the fact Christ is likewise interior the be conscious Christian.

No. It's the Christians who are offended by Happy Holidays that cause a stink. I work in a grocery store and I've had more than one person get pissed off when I wished them a Happy Holidays.

This is a country that has a majority of it's citizens celebrating Christmas. So the 5% who don't want to whine and complain because they feel left out. It's like middle child syndrome!

Wow so true, I say...if someone says Merry Christmas to you AND YOU DON'T CELEBRATE IT, just smile and ignore the comment.

I don't celebrate Halloween, yet you don't see me suing people for wishing me a Happy Halloween. I just say thank you and that's it.

Respect, its all about respect. People can't be nice these days.

Personally I do not care although it gets a little tiring. I do mind that my children have to be subjected to it though. And I do not think anyone has ever wished me a Happy Easter.

No.

This whole "War on Santa" thing is made up by political conservatives to create some kind of a wedge issue and energize their base.
