A special plot is rumored for the adult cover edition of the book where the reason for Harry's death is that he gets intimately involved with Hermione who is really Valdemort in disguise. Have you heard anything about this?

Haven't heard that one, but I imagine that, if Harry approached Hermione in that way, Ron and Ginny both would beat him senseless and many well-established plot developments would be thrown out the window, so no, it doesn't seem likely. If Voldemort wanted to ensnare Harry by this method, he would definitely use Ginny and not Hermione.

I don't know why this is in R&S, but it sounds inane. I seriously doubt that anything of the sort will happen in HP7.
