It would be worth it to me! I love the words of Daniel 3 16-18, where the three young men about to be thrown into the furnace tell King Nebuchadnezzar that they know God can save them, but that if He does not save them, it makes no difference to their belief and the stand which they have taken. That has to be our attitude. In the UK it is now possible to be arrested and imprisoned for witnessing to the Christian faith in a public place if a non-Christian takes exception to it. In many countries in Africa and Asia Christians face far worse than that. If you and I attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death, we are more blessed than almost three billion people in the world. So this is a very serious question, based not on theory but reality as many people know it.

Yes, but we must remember that we must be charitable towards others and faith is a gift from God. We can only go so far and then we must allow Him to work. Many times people are turned off by Christians because they are so pushy and don't even stop to think. Remember, apologetics is a sword that tears into the lies that Satan spreads. But a sword must be handled carefully. We are also called to speak Greek to the Greeks and Hebrew to the Hebrews. Each person needs to be approched differently and requires love and patience. The best way to bring someone to Christ is to love them and to act from that love.

It doesn't matter what people say or do to me because in the end they will have no say over my eternal designation. Jesus said that His followers would be ridiculed and persecuted so I just expect that. The bible says that when one soul is saved all the angles in heaven rejoice. I'm glad to be a part of that kind of celebration now so that I can become a part of it when the time comes.

I was really naive, thinking if people hear the Gospel they would be grateful for God loving them so much even knowing their darkest secrets.

Now I believe what Jesus said some are the children of the devil. That they love darkness. Some of the anger I have encountered at this site alone threw me off.

But I know they are many to be saved. Many to be taught. So I think it is like Jesus said. If the teacher was mocked, insulted, and killed, what do you think is going to happen to the pupil.

Their insults don't bother me any more.

Many Christians are arrogant. It's pathetic. Christians should be humble. Instead, many are preparing for battle. It's not what I grew up learning. There is more hate now than ever...

well you christians seem to have a holier art thou attitude and seem to think that you're better then everybody else who doesn't see things your way maybe if you people would humble yourselves and weren't so judgemental then people wouldn't consider you christians to be egotistical self absorbed rude or arrogant to begin with that's just my suggestion as an agnostic

As long as you accept me and my beliefs I will accept you and yours. We can never really understand why others believe what they do but as long as we're good people why can't we just accept eachother without trying to convert eachother? I am an atheist but I can accept others as smart and having a good reason to believe what they do. Can you accept me and have respect for my beliefs too?
