Actually they're usually called schnoodles, or schnauzerpoos.
Shihpoo would refer to a shih tzu/poodle cross.

Because of all the new hype about cross breeds people have this new wording "designer dogs" which are dogs mixed with poodles mostly. Dogs shouldn't be used as accesories in my opinion. But people are into the designer dogs because of the fad that seems to be sweeping the nation (hmm I think hollywood started it). Personally I have a designer dog because she was a stray on the street and I had her 2 years wayyyy before they were as popular as they are today.

It is a mutt. Schnoodle is just a made up name to make the mutts sound cutesy. This is how it should read:
Schnauzer/Poodle Mix
That is all that it is.

a mutt- mix of two breeds- you are probably right on the breed mixture. If you have to pay over$40 for it, go to the humane society and adopt one for less.

These can come in several sizes, as both breeds have miniature/standard/and giant sizes. well, a poodle is toy/min/standard...but you get the drift. adopt one!
