i have an LED and I cut off the light from it. I have copper wire and i sanded it on each end of the wires. Then, i connected the copper wire to the LED wires and i wrapped it around in aluminum foil to keep the wires in place. Then, at the ends of the copper wire, i connected them and no heat is being given off. Does that mean that there is no electricity being flowed through the LED to the copper wires? Please Help me i am desperate.

The wires may be reversed, if so then no. No electricity would be flowing. Why didn't you solder the unions? what did you connect the LED to? and by the way you probably wouldn't get any heat from the LED because their power consuption is very very low. An average LED consumes about .1 watt

First, make sure you have a circuit, where all wires and metal are touching, and creating a circle, then, if you feel no heat, it just means that your circuit is either working properly, or it is not connected right, if you feel heat, then the wiring is wrong, and your battery or whatever could blow up!
