Why do people not choose a best answer? I find it especially annoying when they come with a personal problem or sob story. The community pours their hearts out trying to help the person and then they do not even vote a best answer! I have stopped pulling my recipe box out to share recipes. It is frustrating to type in an entire recipe and then the person doesn't even vote! Ok, thanks for letting me vent! Have a great day!

Yes, because then people just vote for themselves. It makes me not want to use this forum anymore. It gets me all sorts of points but at the same time it makes me not care about points. Yahoo needs to force these people to choose an answer, i don't care if they close their eyes... I want to deserve my points!

My most annoying thing is when people ask recipe questions and other people go and just copy and paste some random recipes off the internet somewhere and then they get best answer! I'm like, HELLO! I actually dug out my recipe box and cookbooks and typed you out a recipe that I actually cook and know is good! That drives me nuts! Oh well. Happy Holidays!

I agree. Out of the over 5,000 question's I've answered this year, probably over 60% of the questions are still open. Half the best answers I've gotten were from a single vote and not from the person asking the question.

I don't get annoyed at all. I'm not on here to gain points. I'm here to give of myself and help others when I have free time. That's how this system works. It's not about becoming the best answerer in a given field.

it doesn't really bother me but I understand where you're coming from. sometimes people don't come on here very often. or maybe they just don't like any of the answers and don't wanna vote, or they like all the answers or more than 1 and can't decide. it's not really a big deal and besides it becomes available for open voting anyway, just check on your answers and vote for yourself.

I don't get annoyed by people that I don't even know, and you shouldn't let it upset you, either......You're obviously a person who is giving, well, that's just your nature, as it is mine.......If I get voted best answer, so be it........I just try and to relate my experiences and mistakes to people who are in a quandry about things and try to give of myself by trying to rectify their dilema......so you might want to adopt the attitude that you have gone out of your way to help your fellow human being......THAT alone should make you feel all warm and cozy all over......that you did help someone today.........That's what it's all about, you know......the more you give of yourself (without being taken advantage of) the more you'll get out of life, trust me.......

i agree that they should vote, but perhaps they are not familiar with how, it took me awhile to figure it out, and at least if that person votes, they can get 3 points which can go toward another question
