This is common. Many pets have issues about eating when they are first brought home. It's a scary experience. My kitty didn't eat for three days.
Give it another day or two and then if he is still not eating take him to the vet. I wouldn't panic at this point.
If he starts vomiting or has potty problems, then you should take him to the vet as well.

I wonder if it was taken from mom before it was weaned. My vet suggests a little bit of cottage cheese for when my dog gets an upset stomach (which yours might). If that doesn't work, you could try that baby food that you mix with water- not formula, but it has the consistancy of baby food. I forget what it's called, but when my parents dogs had a litter a few years ago, the mom weaned them when she felt ready but the pups weren't.
No matter what consult a vet right away. If you got the dog from a pet store, it could have some serious issues like kennel cough or parvo- just check it out ASAP.
Hope your puppy feels better and merry christmas!

How old is the puppy? Is it the food he is used to? Did you get him from a reputable breeder? If he hasn't been completely weaned, it may take a day or two for him to adjust. Is he still defecating and urinating? Is he acting lethargc at all? We need more information.
Did you try some canned dog food or moisten it with milk? that will sometimes help, also putting a piece in his mouth, and that may work.
He is probably very nervous and scared right now. Try to keep him in a low key setting (no loud noises or actions unless he welcomes it, but a lot of love and attention).

Did you buy a purebred from a pet store? If so, big mistake! This poor pooch could've come from a puppy mill, aka a dirty farm where they raise puppies in cages. This puppy is probably in a depressive state and very confused. He has lived in a small cage for at least three months. Call your local vet and ask. He could be very ill if he was at a pet store. Before going crazy with different food additives, Definitely call your vet. A phone call is free. Tell him everything, including how long this poor dog was cooped in a pet store cage.

Did you get it from a reputable breeder? Do u have proof it was vet checked, vaccinated, dewormed, had a fecal done? I'd get it to the vet asap. I hope you got a health gaurantee. The "rrrr" could be worms. If they sold it before 8-12 weeks, they didn't sell you a healthy, social puppy. And in that case I wouldn't return it to them but demand they pay the vet bills, if it is sick. Good luck, I hope your puppy is ok.

I´m no vet, but I have a dog, so... Well, as it seems, your dog is very new to your house, and your house is very new to it too... Your dog may not be eating due the stress charge related to his change of environment. It will probably give in and have some food in a couple of days, but you should still get your dog to a vet...That´s the best advice. Regards, Gabriel.

You really need to take him to the vet. Sometimes that could mean he might have polo, which is a very serious condition that if it isn't treated soon, he may not make it. If you can't get an appt really quick you can try feeding him babyfood and Pedialite through a syringe. But he really needs to seek medical help if he isn't eating by tomorrow.

Are you feeding the same food as it was eating before you got it? This transition can be stressful to any animal and he could be scared. Allow it to go in his crate and feed him in there, away from everyone else.
