My dogs get a little bitty piece of a candy cane once a year. It won't hurt them. I agree they should never be given too much sugar- so if you give them mints, do it sparingly.

I dont think dogs should be eating Peppermint candy...i could tear up their insides

Well, you shouldn't feed them a lot of sugary things, but the peppermint itself won't hurt them. It will freshen their breath.

no, my dog used to love to eat peppermint candies or candy canes, it helped with her doggie breath, but she out grew that faze, just as with any sugar, don't overdue the amount you give

peppermint isbad for dogs but say a little piece falls on the floor and they eat it then they will be fine since it is a little piece.

sugary things should be cut off from dogs completely!
