okay, from "discovery" paperwork I have found out that my longtime ex husband hired an agency to have me watched. On the website for this agency their specialty is tracking vehicles. I'm not worried about them finding out anything I do but it creeps me out in general & since I go on base a lot I'd think there may be some federal issues here too. Anyway, how do I find out if someone has put a device on/in my car to track where I am going?
Thank you much!!!

Thank you all for the great answers. Security on base is to check it out today. It's an '02 so there is no built in gps.
Thanks again & happy holidays!

If your car is 2005 or newer, you already have a GPS chip in your vehicle. Now they would have to have a viable reason for activating it. If it is a federal matter they have several contracting agencies for this type of operation. It all depends on the issue and what kind of pull your husband had in the federal circles. It would be costly for any agency to just continuously track anyone for any certain amount of time. So I doubt you are being tracked

I think that you could go to your local p.d. and have them check it out. Also, if you're working for the government, there are federal issues here, and you should put a stop to them IMMEDIATELY. That's why we have all the laws concerning federal issues!

BTW, ex sounds like a creep. Be glad you're rid of him.

Take your car to a shop who specializes in electronics. They can do a visual examination in all the places tracking devices are usually placed. They can also scan you car for any radio frequency to see whether you car is transmitting any signals.

Email me if you need more information.

Seeing as how you go on base a lot, next time you are there
go to the Pro vost marshall's office and see if they can check
out your vehicle for such devices.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and have a nice day.

Thank you very much, while you're up!!

You say that "you go on base" with that being said I assume you mean a military installation!? If this is the case go to the PROVOST Marshall's office and speak to them. If is of any consequence they might help.
