Right now the emphasis seems to be on liquids and gels that are restricted to certain sizes, etc... I would suggest that you visit the TSA website http://www.tsa.gov/ they have the complete list of what you can and can not bring on the aircraft with you in your carry on luggage as well as your checked luggage

Have a great flight!

No, it's not 5oz. Why would you answer if you don't know the right answer?

It's 3oz containers. This means you cannot have a half filled 6oz container - the container must hold no more than 3oz.

As far as what's not permitted, check out the http://www.tsa.gov website. They don't have exhaustive lists, but if you are on the fence about something then pack it.

PS - This and similar questions are asked on here at least 5 times a day. The great thing about "answers" is that there is a search box that you can use to find similar questions and their respective answers. Be resourceful. : )

any liquids have to be smaller than I think it's 5 oz.'s and they have to be in a quart size ziplock bag. They took away a little bottle of hand sanitizer just because I didn't have a quart size zip lock bag! But when I got to where I was gong I found a little folding knife I didn't realize was in my purse!! Yup, they screen real good don't they!!!

Well I thought nail clippers were okay, but they were taken away from me last time. Like I'm going to attack someone with a nail clipper!
