Very much. Spain was dominated by the Arabs for seven centuries, from 711 to 1492, when finally the kings Fernando and Isabel expelled them.
It was inevitable that the Arab culture, that at the moment was well developed, modify the Spanish. In the south, dominated by the Arabs, many people could write beautiful verses in Arabic, the used the clothes typical of the Arabs and were called "mozárabes."
The Arabs had important developments in Medicine, Mathematics, Architecture, Chemistry, Poetry, and other branches of knowledge.
Most words in Spanish that begin with AL come from Arabic, like algebra, alacena, alcantarilla, arrabal

It depends on what you mean. The language, especially the language of the southern most region, Andalucia (which was occupied by the Moors for 800 years) has many similar words to arabic. In andalucia, the houses are mostly white with red roofing, much like one would find in an old arabic city.
