That God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All 3 are God and no part is greater than the other.(Matt. 28:18-20). Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost". The scripture does outlines three different entities. They are the same? Same person? Same power?
All three always been around forever? One person, 3 different jobs?
First take God's sons name, Yeshua. Translated means father's helper (or Jesus)
If all three are the same why does one part need help from the other part?
If all three of the same, how or why did one create the other?
Colossians 1:14,15 (KJV) - In whom we have redemption through his blood, [even] the forgiveness of sins: He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

If the three are the same then the first two knows what the other is thinking, no?
Mark 13: 24-32, "But as for the day or hour, nobody knows it, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son; no one but the Father".
There is a scripture that states that one part equals to the other two parts? no?
John 28:14 - If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
-It is clear that the 3 work together at times but there is no word in the bible for trinity.
Verdict: Jesus is God's Son, a separate entity not equal to his father, who he his father and his fathers spirit we should be baptized in.

to nickoftyme: 1. The word "God"
Elohim was used instead of Yahweh because it was to holy for the hebrews to say Gods name. The hebrews used Elohim to show it was Jesus father otherwise they would have written Yashua (jesus).
2. Story of the creation of man
You are correct it does say in Bereshit that "And God said, Let us make man in our image"
But you forget that Colossians 1:14,15 states Jesus was created first then both the father and the son created
everything else.
3. Story of the Tower of Babel
It does say us. But us who? Us, God and son? It certainly could. Us the angels and God? There is not enough
information in this verse to say who us is.
4. The call of Isaiah
Whom shall I send (I being god the father), and who will go for us? (Us being Jesus and God the father) that is two where is the trinity?

Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians; they teach that Christ was and is divine and of the same nature as God.
Jehovah's Witnesses teach that no salvation occurs without Christ, that accepting Christ's sacrifice is a requirement for true worship, that every prayer must acknowledge Christ, that Christ is the King of God's Kingdom, that Christ is the head of the Christian congregation, that Christ is immortal and above every creature, even that Christ was the 'master worker' in creating the universe!
Jehovah's Witnesses love and respect and honor Christ. However, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the Scriptures quite plainly demonstrate that Jesus and the Almighty are separate distinct persons, and the Almighty created Jesus as His firstborn son.
(Colossians 1:15) the firstborn of all creation
(Mark 10:18) Jesus said to him: 'Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, except one, God.
(Revelation 3:14) the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God
(Philippians 2:5-6) Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God
(John 8:42) Neither have I come of my own initiative at all, but that One sent me forth
(John 12:49) I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak
(John 14:28) I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am
(1 Corinthians 15:28) But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him
(Matthew 20:23) this sitting down at my right hand and at my left is not mine to give, but it belongs to those for whom it has been prepared by my Father
(1 Corinthians 11:3) I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; ...in turn the head of the Christ is God
(John 20:17) I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.
(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah
(1 Corinthians 8:4-6) There is no God but one. For even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him
Thanks again for an opportunity to share what the bible actually says about the distinct persons of Jesus Christ the Son and Jehovah God the Father!

I have to be brief. It is a long and involved question and I am going to give it to you without quoting a lot of Bible verses.
No Jesus did not actually say the word 'Trinity" nor is the word mentioned in the Bible. Nor did he ever say " I am God." but he gave us a lot to add to the other pointers in the Bible about the Trinity and himself.
The trinity and Jesus Divinity is a mystery, which is beyond human explanation, ie how God can be made up of three seperate identities. There are many things in religions, which are beyond human comprehension. Which is why God gave us the gift of faith.
In the first Chapter of the Bible it says, "...and the spirit of God was moving across the waters...." So we know that the spirit of God existed at the beginning.
There can be know doubt about The Father in heaven who is evident throughout the Bible.
Jesus said, of himself "....I came down from heaven...."
So we know that He was there from the beginning too, especially as St Paul says, "...through Him (Jesus) all things were made..." and "....... He ( again Jesus) did not cling to His equality with God.... " Jesus also said "....The Father and I are one...." Then on the occasion when he met his disciples before he ascended to heaven He had the power to breath the Holy Sprit into them.
In the new Testament letters, The Holy Spirit is referred to (twice I think) as the Spirit of Jesus. Which is why we can be sure that "the helper, advocate" that he had the authority to say that he would send, was the Holy Spirit.
The fact that he said that his apostles/disciples should go and baptise "In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit ", is just one verse to add to the many others which are the basis of our belief in the Trinity.
I think the verses I have mentioned also show (with others that I can give you if you like) The Divinity of Jesus the rest, as I have said is Faith. Not a popular woprd these days.) I don't know what sort of proof somepeople expect; after all religion is not science!

That leaves open the contradiction of Jesus arguing with God in Gethsemeny's gardens. Jesus submitted to God's will. The son is not exactly the father, the son is the son. You don't honor the son, you honor they mother and father. You honor the father.
God said I am a jealous God and you will not be any other Gods before me nor worship idols or things made of materials.
You have to balance that one out.
Remember in Revelations, follow prophets in a wrong manner and you don't get into the Book of Life.
This doesn't make Jesus less reverant when he walked the Earth. But I'm hesitant to put anyone on a equal footing, let a lone a higher footing than God the Creator. Otherwise we are re-writing the Bible to say in the begining Jesus created the heavens and Earth, which is not what the Bible says.

Isaiah prophesies Jesus' birth saying that a Son will be born and also saying that Jesus will be called the Mighty God, Everlasting Father. Also, Matthew 1:23 says that they will call Jesus, Emmanuel which means God with us. John 1:1 says the Word was God, and then if you look at John 1:14 it says the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. The Jews realized that Jesus claimed to be God, but they rejected that claim. That is why they wanted Him killed. There are many other instances in the Bible that talk about Jesus being God, but these are just a few that I could think of off the top of my head. May God bless your search for truth.

No, the trinity is not a bible teaching. Here's why:
We believe in Christ but not the Trinity. Notice what Simon Peter said who Jesus Christ was. Found at Matthew 16:16.
There are Bible texts that I could never fit in with that belief or with the Trinity. Such as Matt. 24:36. (You had pointed this fact out - good for you) If the Son is equal to the Father and is the same person, how is it that the Father knows things that the Son does not? Even if it's regarding his "human nature" why does the holy spirit not know? Are not all 3 persons supposed to be 1, according to the Trinity doctrine? However, the bible does have this to say about God - He has a personal name, Psalms 83:18. Reasonably, if Jesus were God, then he would have said that he wanted people to worship him. However, instead, Jesus never claimed to be equal to God. And there’s a scripture that points this fact out. It’s found at John 14:28.
I agree with you. Many have too many hang-ups over John 1:1 and don't consider the rest of the scriptures, since the bible is in harmony with each writer and book. Something to ponder for those who don't believe Jesus is the son of God:
Let’s start at the beginning. Forget everything about Jesus on earth and let’s focus in heaven. Who has superiority in Heaven? Considering that Jesus is God, then it would be Jesus. However, if we take a look at Matthew 28:18 it says something of great interest. Here Jesus has been resurrected and is speaking to his disciples before he ascends into heaven to live. Here he says to the disciples that “all authority has been given him in heaven and on the earth”. Since he said “all authority” had been given to him, then that would conclude that somebody gave him that authority. Who could that person be, if Jesus was himself God? Why would Jesus now have this authority when he should of already have had it? Let’s go to Philippians 2:9 to find this answer. It says here that “God exalted him to a superior position”. Well, if Jesus is not God, then who is this God? The bible does not leave us wondering. His very personal name is found at Psalms 83:18. Please also read these additional scriptures: Proverbs 8: 22-31; 30:4, John 20:17, 31, Acts 7:56 then Acts 17:31
Colossians 1:15-18. (Notice what the bible states about death). One is unconscious, conscious of nothing. So how can God resurrect himself if he alone is dead and had written in the bible what happens to one who dies. Is he lying about death or is Jesus really not God?
Someone who was studying the bible had this to say: People think Jesus is God. They even pray to Jesus. But he gives so much evidence to prove wrong this theory. God Cannot Lie. When Jesus teaches people to pray, he says in Matthew 6:6 but when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Did you catch that? Pray to the Father who is "Unseen"! If Jesus is God, how could you pray to the Father who is Unseen, if he is right there telling you to do it?
Something to ponder about and for others.

Your conclusion that Jesus is God's Son is correct. He (Jesus) is the second part of the Trinity.
The word Trinity does not show up in the Biblical text. However, Jesus when He is talking with His disciples in Matthew 28 tells them to go out to all nations and baptized them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (the Trinity).
God can do things we don't understand, He is God and with God all things are possible. Just because we as humans can wrap our minds around it, does not change the fact that it is.
God is the Creator, not the created. Therefore, Father, Son and Holy Spirit has always existed and therefore were not created. See John chapter 1 for additional information on this.
May you find the truth, peace, joy and Love of our Lord this Christmas season!
Merry Christmas :o)

You have answered your own question, by reasoning on the matter.
That is why many say the trinity teaching is a mystery, because it cannot be proven from the bible, because the bible clearly teaches that God whose name is Jehovah is the most high, Jesus is his son and Messiah and the holy spirit is God's active force. It's so simple.
Good Job!

The trinity is NOT a Bible teaching.
You'll note that those who try to prove the trinity is in the Bible always come up with a scripture, or two, that talks about 2 entities.
The trinity involves 3.
They quote Father, son and 'holy ghost'.
Fine.
No one contests their existence.
The question is:
Where does the Bible say they are all one and the same?
It doesn't.
Can you imagine the Apostle Paul believing the trinity after saying in Colossians 1:15 that Jesus was created.
Same for the Apostle John .....Revelation 3:14

You could confuse the operating manual for a bowling ball. Yeeesh. It's not that complicated. Jesus is a man! He was born. He got hungry and thirsty. He died. Jesus was not, is not, never will be God. GOD CAN'T DIE! Ask any Christian where Jesus is and (assuming they know anything) they will tell you that, "He is standing at the RIGHT HAND of God." Jesus is not God. Jesus is a man. The second Adam. The first-fruits of them that believe. He was God's spotless sacrifice for sin. Christ is God the Son. He was Jesus (man) Christ (God).

God is a trinity. The wird itrinity is not in the Bible it is just a term that we Christians have coined to use for that doctrine. We can do that, it is a free country.
Jesus does not mean "helper" it means "savior". The bible clearly states that.
Phil 2 teaches that Jesus is equal to the Father.
The firstborn of creation does not say the first created thing. It has to do with the Levitical law of the firstborn. Every firstborn animal was to be sacrificed to God as an atonement for sin. When Jesus came he was declared to be the one who would be sacrificed to make atonement for the sins of creation, so He was called "Creation's firstborn".
People in that day who knew the Levitical Law knew exactly what it was saying, but pople like you who do not know the law have no clue what it is saying so you make it say what you want it to say.
