That's easy -- AIR FORCE, hands down. Here's why: For starters, basic training is only 9 weeks as opposed to Marine basic training, which is 13 weeks long and is much more physically grueling. Secondly, there are a heck of a lot more jobs in the Air Force that would translate into a good job in the civilian sector than in the Marines (no disrespect intended to them, but being an infantryman for four years doesn't translate as well into the civilian sector as, say, a jet engine mechanic). Finally, many of the jobs that you can get in the Air Force are "banker's hours" jobs (0730-1630) that will allow you to go to college at night and earn a degree, whereas the Marines are notorious for spending 25 days out of the month in the field. I could give you a ton of other reasons why the Air Force is better, like living conditions, facilities on base, location of installations, opportunities to travel, etc., but I'll sum it up like this: I have friends and colleagues in all the branches of the service including the Coast Guard, and they all said the same thing: "Man, I wish I had joined the Air Force!"
