I was raised Methodist but later became Atheist and later became simply partially agnostic....who seeks GOD in a non-denominational Church as well as various arenas such as this. Can someone please explain why I have this weird connection with friends in almost a "we are one force/holy spirit/??" way? I will often have this vision etc and call a friend in a state 1000 miles a way and the vision actually be true. I can't control this and it's always random visions with little benefit other than amusement or just feeling connected. I guess this is the reason that I do believe there is a GOD but in some existence I simply don't understand. No, I do not have any psychiatric disorder etc and actually am very successful. This is just strange and I can't explain it. Seriously. Thanks in advance.

Gazoo--- yeah.. actually did write down a few times to make sure myself..lol....often the subconscious mind does play that trick before the conscious mind perceives it--that helps with the old deja vu but this is different..... Smack it/Gastournet.... lol... I know..... I felt the same way hence my previous atheist way UNTIL I started feeling this presence and having periodic visions... Seriously. thanks though....lol...

Psychologically, when one hangs out with certain people, one would tend to take on the other's personality, belief, habits, et. al., just as they would yours. Thus, at a certain point you would have images of them in your mind, like a remembrance or a memory that could hold true because it is part of them.
Spiritually, i think all of us our intertwined. Since, the Holy Spirit dwells in each of us, then we would have connections with other especially with those close to your heart.
You may call it intuition, sixth sense, familiarity, etc

Well, a lot of people believe that friends and/or family can be connected "spiritually" or "psychically" or otherwise. For a simple example, sometimes when women work together, their periods can "align" and they will all have their periods at very close times. What you are experiencing can also be called "synchronicity." Go to wikipedia and look up "synchronicity." In brief, it is an event that is very meaningful to the person it happens to, and is more than a coincidence but less than a miracle.

I dig your style, I too turned from Atheism to Agnosticism. I do have experiences that make me believe in things unmatterial, however I have a hard time accepting religion. Don't let other people come down on you, what you are feeling is just the need for spirituality without religion.

It's because God consists of everything, and is really the collective consciousness of everything, so the closer you can get to God, and less from your own individuality you'll start to feel things like that.

Sounds like by opening your mind to the other possiblitys of what god is and means to us... you opened up other channels in which to communicate. Congrats. BTW the same thing happened for me.

Try actually writing your visions down before you hear the other side and do a real comparison later. You will find that it isn't as real as you think.
