I am making brownies to say sorry to my boyfriend whom I got into a big fight with the other day. He likes brownies a lot, but I wanted to write 'I love you' on them with icing. Does anyone know of a quick and tasty recipe for icing?

Easy Icing Recipe

I have used this recipe instead of the cooked icing. It is light and great for cakes and especially gobs.

All you do is measure
1 cup Crisco shortening
1 can Sweetened condensed milk
1-2 tsp vanilla

Beat in mixer until light and fluffy. I turn it on and forget about it for a while. at least 20 minutes
Hope you like it.

It is easy and quick.

You can make a colorful chocolate frosting in just a few minutes.
Take a slightly softened stick of butter, and blend it until it is smooth. Add 1 ounce of melted unsweetened or bittersweet chocolate (if you don't get the pre-melted chocolate, make sure that the chocolate is thoroughly cooled before you add it). Add confections sugar (about 1/2 cup at a time until it is a sweet as you prefer it) and blend it until smooth. Add a few drops of the food coloring of your choice and voila!
