I am very sure that Sandisk Memory Stick PRO Duo is compatiple with sony. Scan Disk and Sony teamed up and actully made the Memory Stick. Even though they teamed up with ScanDisk. ScanDisk has also made a far less expensive but same amount of memory and quality sony does. So yes it should work for your camera. I am positive that it will work for the sony PSP so it should work for Sony Cameras. ONe way to find out is just putting it in your camera unless your keeping the memory unopened till you know for certain

Some of the earlier Sony cameras did not support the Pro versions of Memory Stick.

The newest Sonys support the Duo physical format, which is smaller than the original Memory Stick, and the Pro version. The Pro version is often required to make the best quality video clips.

The slightly older Sonys support the Pro version and are set up for the longer original Memory Stick. But they can also use the Duo format when equiped with the adapter.

There are too many Sony models to name them all. Most will use the Pro Duo, but may need the adapter. If you want to check a specific model, you will need to look in the Owners Manual.

Good Luck

Yes, of course it can. You DO NOT have to use a Sony branded Memory Stick Pro Duo, just because you have a Sony digital camera. That's just what the clever marketing people at Sony want you to do. It's bad enough that people are FORCED into using THEIR storage medium (Memory Stick). So, I would also recommend Sandisk as the brand to use. The Ultra® II Memory Stick Pro Duo should be plenty fast enough.

Newer Sony cybershots are. Older Sony's take Memory Sticks and do not support Memory Stick Pro or Pro Duo's with the adapter.
If it's a new Sony cybershot, then odds are you are fine.

You need to check the spec of your digital camera. If the recording method is "Ms Pro Duo", then it is compatible. For example, Sony T-series digital camera like T10, T50, T9 and so on.
