You are going to get a million people on here telling you how God gave the Angels the same" Free Will" That he has given to us and that he did not make the Devil, the devil was good and then became self righteous Etc. Your right though, if God is so loving and all knowing, than why wouldn't he have seen what was going to become of this beautiful world and it's people. People of all faiths have different ways of believing in every thing from the beginning of this world to what our fate is. So to answer you with any kind of truth I can not.....nor can anyone else. Because we simply don't know. And the ones that think that they are all knowing are just being led by blind faith and have become self righteous themselves.Just as"Satan" himself.

Hello Miss Unknown:
God did not create Satan.
God created millions of angels.
He hoped they would all willingly co-operate.
One in particular, chose to rebel.
He demonstrated this rebellion by lying to Eve. Genesis 3:4
He thoroughly deceived her, thus making himself a satan ....which means 'deceiver'.
Since he continuously challenges God (e.g. Job and tempting Jesus) he makes himself a slanderer.
Devil means slanderer.
So, that rebel angel made himself Satan the Devil.
Apparently he convinced a number of other angels to follow along in the rebellion.
Did God know that was going to happen?
He certainly knew there was a risk.
However, instead of possibly being accused of prejudice, God let things play out.
Ezekial 28:11-19, although written in regard to the King of Tyre, can be applied to Satan as to why he might choose the path of rebellion.
Basically, he fell in love with himself.
God cannot, will not, tolerate Satan's machinations forever.

God is love. This is the essence of His character. The human mind, without God's help, is too selfish to even perceive this love let alone plumb its depths.

His foreknowledge of events does not diminish power of choice any more than your knowledge of tomorrow's weather will stup the rain.

If you have children and know what is going to happen when they pursue a certain course, does that mean they do not have the freedom to make choices ?

In order for God to love and receive love there must be freedom of choice. Love cannot be forced or commanded.

If God created beings that could only and would only choose to love Him, then ...

1. The beings would not be free
2. God would be selfish

Even though God foresaw the results of creating Lucifer, He still chose to not only create Him but to make provision for all that would happen as a result of Lucifer's rebellion. The angels were not taken by Satan and turned into demons - THEY CHOSE TO BELIEVE SATAN'S LIES AND BECAME DEMONS.

It is the same with human beings. A lifetime of choices can transform a person's character unfitting them for heaven.

If God had destroyed Lucifer right after he sinned, all the other angels and unfallen worlds would more than likely have served God because of fear instead of love since they knew nothing about sin before this. Sin was a mysterious intruder.

For the good of the universe, God's plan allows for the unfolding and revealing of the principles of sin and rebellion with its results.

Thus every mind must be allowed to see the evidence and decide for or against God.

God's plan also includes the remedy for sin and its final eradication from the universe but freedom of choice is a large part of this.

When the great controversy is ended, heaven will be populated with those who will have made a conscious decision against the principle of sin after having seen and experienced its effects.

God has chosen what we would consider "the hard way" but it is the only way to guarantee the eternal security of heaven.

We are in the midst of a great educational process with eternal destinies at stake. The principles of righteousness as revealed in God's word are being revealed in contrast to the principles of sin as seen in our world today. All are allowed to choose.

The climax of this struggle is nearing and will end with the return of Jesus Christ to this earth at a time when Satan will be utilizing his ultimate deception to try and turn human beings against God and His people as he deceived the angels in heaven.

God loves everyone and will forgive anyone but He will not save a single one against his or her will or without his or her cooperation.

Interesting theory,,, Imagine you are a creator of worlds. Now let's say you have a desire for people to experience it. You go and ask some freinds to test it out. They don't know how you did it, but think it is very cool. You tell them this, you can check it out while in spirit and not be attached, but IF you decide you want to play and learn wht I have presented before you, you can do this. ---NOW-- We have Satan's role played out in full Satan says, you want to see this world as it was meant to be seen? How god WANTS you to see it, to fully experience it and have emotion. Take a bite of the energy source called an apple. This source will make you dense enough to experience this place. Satan made them curious enough to want to play the game my freind. We are not sinners like you may think. I am sorry, really, christianity isn't all bad and has truth but please, it isn't the only way back home. Peace friend, love eternally

See, the problem is, it doesn't make sense at all the way Christians and Muslims tell the story -- to them, Satan is God's enemy... but how can God have an enemy? For God to truly have an opponent, it'd have to be another god ... but that'd be polytheistic.

Jewish teaching, however, makes sense -- Satan is in fact completely and utterly LOYAL to God. God gave men and women souls, but the soul is like a muscle in that for it to get stronger, it must be challenged. You cannot build up muscle if you never put that muscle against some form of resistance.

If you wanted to become a master martial artist, do you think you could without ever having a sparring partner? No! On the flip side, your sparring partner isn't out to destroy you, he will challenge you at a level at or slightly above your own level, at for practice, above to teach. At first, you'll lose when he fights above your level, but over time, you will learn new techniques, new strengths, and discover new weaknesses, both in yourself and your sparring partner. You will become stronger. Should your sparring partner overwhelm and crush you, you learn nothing but defeat, so a sparring partner if he realizes he's overwhelming you, or worse, has injured you, he backs off immediately and lets the Sensai or medic assist you as needed.

Satan is a gift from God. He is our spiritual sparring partner. He gives us challenges, not to draw us away from God, but to make us stronger so we can go TOWARDS God all the better, all the stronger for the challenge.

Actually Lucifer is an older Roman God and isn't even connected to ancient Christianity, (Romans made Christianity a Pagan Mythology for some reason). Satan in the Jewish Myhtology is created by God to test people, why an all knowing god will need to test something is unknown. I personally think Jehova and Satan is the same entity and they are NOT all knowing, infact they are merely a human creation. The real 'God' is not known by any man and cannot be known by any man since it is all of us and the univers as a whole.

The original idea of Satan was that he would work with God by tempting man to make the wrong choices.
It was ignorant people who dreamed up the idea that the Devil was doing all the evil things that happened in the world.
Satan became an easy scapegoat for the obvious contradictions about God's love and mercy.

Because God created free will, not creating Lucifer because God knew he would rebel would have revoked the entire concept of free will, if God only created that which he knew would be the way he wanted He never would have said we have free will.

Good question. Remember God also tested a man to see if he would sacrifice his son, but again isn't God supposed to know what will happen before it happens?

You have found one of the Bible's contradictions. That's really all it is in my opinion and that is one on a list of many reasons why I don't believe it.
