Lord Vishnu came to Earth as Krishna to restore the balance of forces on Earth. To do this he had to overcome many powerful evil beings that had gained too much power and were upsetting the order it was His duty to maintain. His weapon was the Chakra, a sort of divine discus, that was unstoppable. The Mahabharata is a great tale of Krishna's many exploits and adventures, and contains the Bhagavad Gita.
