wow, Betty, get a grip, sweetheart. People are put to death, not for punishment, that would be against the constitution, for cruel and unusual. The death sentence is for people that has 0000 to contribute to society. No measures of rehabilitation can resolve this person back into society and their mear exsistance is a threat to society. The seperation of church and state keeps Jesus, God, Heaven and hell out of the issue, at least that's what I was told when I talked like you did. P.O.'s me to. Used to feel the same way you do, so I understand your anger.

What? I am Christian and I do not believe in penalty by death. That is called murder. It clearly says in the Bible, though shall not murder. The rest as far as professing sins, it is still up to God who gets in to heaven and who does not. Not us. However in contradiction to what I said and in response to wht you said. At least with death the children are not punished anymore, even if it is a release for the perpetrator. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas! Only 3 more sleeps!

Hanging? Yeah, but that's too quick. Personally, I want to see public executions brought back. Actually, I support public purification ceremonies for those who have been convicted of the death penalty.
If you're clueless as to what I'm getting at just watch Mel Gibson in Braveheart. I want to see blood, I want to hear them scream for mercy. Let's make it slow, get very personal and give them at least 21 times to repent before we cut their head off.
Bonus Round: All of this should be required to be put 'on air' during prime time spots so everyone has an opportunity to view what happens to you when you murder (including abortionists) etc.
Of course the Demonrats would rather have convicted criminals kept alive so trial attorneys will have some meaning to their pathetic existence. If left entirely up to the lunatic liberals, convicted nutcases would be roaming the streets of your neighborhood at night. But then most Demonrats are just Satanic so it all makes sense.
If you hate what you've read here tough. If you love it make sure you copy it and send it to everyone you know.

death is a good thing if you believe in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and are going to spend eternity with him in heaven but death is a scary thing if have not believed in Christ and you WILL be sent to hell if you have not given your life to God to change for the better and to live for him. And i belive yes those rapers and molestors should be killed but also given the chance to ask Jesus into their hearts to be saved from hell and be forgiven of their great sin.
Rom 6:23 "For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Also if you were killed the man who killed you can get away with his awfull wrong doing by a few years in jail. The world has put a small price on life. Life is valiable to take someones life you must pay with your life.
P.S. the shot they give them is not peaceful. it causes them a lot of pain because it makes their body organs burst. and they don't die right away. I agree with the hanging though
God is not a joke. one day we will all stand before him and he will ask us what have we done on earth to deserve his presence in heaven. If you answer the corret way and tell Him you have received his gift of salvation he will let you enter Heaven. God is either your enemy or your best friend. I hope you will realize that one day you will stand face to face with God and i pray that you wil meet him as your Friend.
If you want more information on how to recieve God as your personal Savior go to http://www.calvaryftl.org/ you should watch their online services on wednesdays, sundays or saturdays.

God Bless you

I think the death penalty is wrong. There are many innocent people being put to death every day. It's just so wrong. Damien Echols is a good example. He's innocent. There was ZERO evidence against him, ZERO. And he's on death row. That's why I'm sad.

A bunch of people on a bench should not decide whether another person lives or dies. They shouldn't be playing God like that. And Maria Isabel is right. Damien Echols is innocent. It's very nice to see other supporters out there. Free the West Memphis Three!

There's no death penalty for child molesters. And if there was--it's more important to keep these people from hurting any more children than it is to "punish" them.

Capital punishment is the ultimate punishment. It denies the condemned of one the most precious things anyone has--his life. He loses all that he would otherwise have experienced.
