They should stay home.

Here is why:
They are spreading germs to everyone they come in contact with:

when they cough
when they sneeze
when they blow their nose
when they wipe their eyes
when they use the restroom
anytime they touch anything they leave germs on it

Flu and Colds are very easy to catch and pass on. Anyone at work can also be a carrier to disabled, elderly and kids, those who have a weaker immune system.

Your work should have a strict policy that employees stay home when sick. Many come to work anyway because they may not get paid for sick time or they do not have any more sick leave. Sorry, that is no excuse. All they do is spread their disease to others.
Mention it to the boss or manager.

In the meantime, take Airborne (found in pharmacies) when around sickies to strenthen your immune system and wash your hands frequently.

Good Luck

Yes, I think they should stay home. Unfortunately they will come to work sick for many reasons such as they have already taken too much time off, they won't get paid if they call in, or their boss told them not to miss any more time. I hate it when peole come to work sick. I caught a bad cold last week from a cashier at the grocery store and I'm mad about it. She has probably gotten hundreds of people sick that day and it's not fair to others. I'm on day 7 of this cold and I hope it's gone before Christmas. That cashier or anyone else sick for that matter should stay home. Bosses should realize this and send them home because quite often others get sick from them and work quality is lowered.

I believe they should stay home depending on the symptoms. All it takes is one person to be sick & the whole workforce is sick. The less people who come to work the less likely you are to catch something & take it home to your family. Besides rest is the only medicine to help you get better.

Yes they should be allowed to but most managers frown upon taing time off no matter what the reason- so most people are guilted by management to come in even if they're sick.

Yes, they should stay home. Resting at home will make them get better sooner, and they will not spread germs to otherwise perfectly healthy co-workers.
On that note, you should call in sick today! :)

I think it depends on how sick they are and if you can spread it around. If you can spread it then yes, they should stay home. Because look what's happening to you... You're getting her germs and no one wants to be sick!

They should stay home if they make a habit of it.
