I am trying to find an accountability partner that I can trust and confide in, and they can do with me. I'm not sure where to start. I really don't want it to be someone that knows me, nor do I want it to be someone from my own church, but I feel that it's important that they go to church, or at least have a strong Christian faith. Where do I need to start looking? Is outside of my own church a good idea, or not?

there are Christian dating services. You could try there if God isn't showing you that your life partner isn't there...Be careful, ok? Jim

I'm not sure what u mean, an accountability partner? Like a confidante? Well, here is a great place to ask, but u know, I don't know what exactly u are looking for. You appear to want someone to talk to, who will not judge or tell others. But whom also shares in the same ideas spiritually, well I'd be happy to if u like. I would start with your church tho, why not someone who is close by? But I am a good listener, the offer is open. Happy HOLY days.:o]

You want an accountability partner yet you don't want them to know you? Are you wanting just partial accountability, just in the things you are choosing to be accountable for? Seriously, find someone older in your church and be honest with them, why don't you want it to be someone in your church? We all try and 'look the part', but the truth is we all sin and we all struggle with something in our lives - accoutnability partner goes both ways. You need to also hold them accountable. If you're truly serious, you need someone who knows you, knows how to encourage you, knows how to hold you to your promises.

Always someone with Faith. If you're unsure about someone at your own church, what about a sister church, or the lady who already invited you to e-mail her. Good Christians will always assist you, always. God Bless.

A lot of Christians from different denominations volunteer their time in some service areas. work as a volunteer for a month in an area that interests you, and you will gravitate to someone there.

Examples in your area:
- Hospital visits
- Clothing
- Meals

A female friend would be preferable, since she knows your "history" and how you think. She is also present in your life and can watch your behavior and council you, if need be. If you don't want a friend as your accountability partner, I definately recommend you chose a mature, Christian woman from your church.

Peace.

Wow thats a tuff one. First you have to understand God will not give you a mate untill you are totally satisfied in him and understand and acknowledge that you need no one else but him really pray for you husband and ask God to protect him. Understand that God put thos desires in your heart to have a husband but it requires action from you Make God your husband first. Read Songs of Songs in the old testement it represents how God loves us and how we are suppose to love the Lord. ONLY HIM ONLY HIM ONLY HIM first sister. He will give you all you desire if you put the Kingdom first.

An accountability partner needs to be a person you are close to. Sorry, but they HAVE TO know you - otherwise...there's no accountability.
