No -
The mice could have set-up shop at the neighboring store.

Mice are all around. They have been here in there form longer than we have been here in ours.

It is not Starbucks fault.

I avoid Starbucks for their outrageous prices for a flavored coffee.

I would imagine that there are actually very few restaurants or coffee shops that don't have some manner of rodent/insect as a scavenger not far away. Rodents are probably the most successful and adaptable animals on the planet, and you're certainly never very far away from a rat of some description.

I'd be more likely not to go to Starbucks because their coffee is sh*it. Rodent problems would have very little bearing on my decision to use any premises.

By the way, fozbend's statement that there is 6% of 'incest' matter in burger buns is a bit startling. I do hope she means 'insect'. What would comprise 'incest matter' would keep me awake at night.

I avoid Star*ucks for 3 reasons:

1. They charges World Trade Center rescue workers $1200 for water to help victims on September 11th. When the rescue workers, who paid out of their own pockets for the water, contacted Star*ucks HQ they got no help. ONLY after it became a major embarrassment did they refund the most of the money.
2. Unlike many US companies, they stood firm on their policy about sending contributions to soldiers in Irak. Whether you agree with the policies in Irak, the soldiers still need support. Star*ucks workers get free rations every month, many privately save these rations and send them over to the soldiers.
3. OMG and you think Gas is exspensive.. when was the last time you looked at their yuppy menus.

Mice... wake up my friend, there is hardly a place that stores food products that doesn't have mice or rats.. it is a matter of clean storage and controlling pests so they don't get out of control

---get off soap box and says the * replaces the letter F so I don't get in trouble with Yahoo.---

Happy Holidays to one and all

You are lucky you heard about the one!! Most stores have problems like any normal person would regarding mice. The fact that it was knowledge, should make you feel more comfortable as they will obviously do something about it!! I reckon if you saw what went on behind closed doors in most food places, you would never eat there again!!!

Every fast food chain, convience store, Grocery store has had mice from time to time. You do not want to know how many mice you find in a grocery warehouse, (6 in the freezer alone)

Heck no!

Would you stop sleeping because the average person swallows 2 spiders per year while sleeping?

And did you know that there is a percentage of incest matter that is acceptable in American food? (one big company allows up to 6% in their sandwich buns....) And yes, the FDA does approve...

And yes, I still eat them .... even though I took a hiatus for a year after working for them..... It's normal, not everyone is going to have mice or e-coli or the next big scare....

No, because evrey area and every shop have different conditions. I mean, I am even in another country than you are, it is highly unlikely that the same mice will be here too.

unfortunately little mice cannot read and therefore when it is cold and raining and they want to curl up and keep warm and dry, they go in the first little hole they can find, whether it be Starbucks, McDonalds, Little Chef or - horrors of horrors - even a little gap under your door

I avoid Starbucks as a matter of principle. Prices are ridiculous, should have their name changed by changing the "b" for an "s".

Mostly all restaurants have some type of rodent or insect problem that is controlled with pest control. Where there is food there are pests. It is unavoidable. You would not eat anywhere if you knew the problems at your favorite restaurants. I would probably just avoid the one with the problem.
