i dont understand how some people believe in giving a physical punishment to children, when they are not willing to accept it for theirselves,,,, we know not to speed, we have been told not to, reminded not to by speed signs, are those who are willing to hit children willing to be hit for speeding??

Unless you feel that it is okay for your wife to give you a loving slap then this whole question is irrelevent. Your wife does not need a loving slap, she needs a mature husband who realizes that she is not a kid.

When we correct a child, chastisement by way of a spanking is discipline to ensure that child will lean right from wrong. A wife is an adult who already knows right from wrong, and is in no need of a "slap" as you referred to.
Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Colossians 3:19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
You will twist God's word so much that you shall condem your own self out of heaven.

I don't know why some people believe in SLAPPING children. Although I can't guarantee that if my children ever used derogatory language directed AT me that I'll stay my hand, but it would have to be something terrible, like the "c" word.

Can I give you a slap? Your wife is your partner and an equal. Your child is someone you are raising. Your wife is already raised and is an adult such as yourself.

Your wife is a GROWN UP and it's not up to you to discipline her. I don't think it's right to slap kids either, but NO ONE should be hitting their wife!

You can slap me anytime you want to, sweet thing. But they're right you shouldn't be slapping your wife unless you're getting kinky with her and it turns her on.

In the Bible it says do not spare the rod on your child, for when you whip them you save there soul from hell. Raise the child up the right way and they shall not lead astray when there older.
It also says Husbands love your wife like Jesus' loves the Church.
