On the 4T, the T stands for Toddler. On 6X, the X is just a designation of the size garment. A 6X is slightly larger than a size 6 and obviously, slightly smaller than a size 7. With a five year old daughter, I can tell you that this size was probably generated for those who are going the through the awkward stage of getting taller and losing baby fat. My daughter is currently in a 6X and is "slimming up" and from my experience with her a size 7 is a slimmer and longer cut for maturing children. Hope this helps!

The T in 4T means Toddler. I don't know what the X stands for, but a 6X is in between a 6 and a 7.

The T stands for toddler. After size 24 months, there is 2T, 3T, and 4T. (2T usually fits 2 year olds, 3T 3 year olds, etc.) As far as I know, size 6X is the same waist size as a size 6, but it has a longer length.

the T means toddler and the X means extra large. For example, in the toddler sizes, 2T means for a two year old, and 3T means 3 year old. When you start seeing the X's this means that the clothes is for bigger kids, like 6 years old and older.

the T means toddler as in not little girls but not baby's. The X means a little closer to 7 if 7 is to big and 6 is to small.

The T stands for toddler. Now if you are referring to adult sizes with the X......that stands for eXtra like a XL shirt or something. A 6X would be a VERY big article of clothing!!!! With the T in clothing for children, those can vary, like with my oldest son, he can either fit into a 5T in clothes or a 5-6 in boys. He's at the age where he's getting close to coming out of the "toddler" line of clothing.
Edit to add......ohhh ok I wasn't aware that they had X sizes in childrens clothing........sorry.......LOL
