If Islam means peace why is it at the center of every major conflict in the world?

From the middle east (yes the US is there, but not under the banner of Christianity) they kill each other Sunni/Shiite (Jihad vs. Jihad who is the infidel), in Africa with Somalia and soon to be Ethiopia, don't for get the Balkans a few years back... sounds like Islam means war.

Agian, I never see any muslim take responsibility for any of their actions. It's always some else's fault, then they hide behind quotes from a book, because they do not have the ability to think on thier own. They always claim wars are not the fault of the islam, but allah is there battle cry. They get mad if you say anything about them and go on violent rampages just reaffirming anything ever said. muslims are like children, never their fault and then throw a tantrum if you call them on it!

because islam at the very beginning shows peace .and knowledgable muslims in Islam have orders from Allah to show islam as peaceful religion when they are in the land of Kufr (infidels), but when they grow stronger they will be the violent ones and war ragers. read about muhammed life and you will understand.

all verses downloaded from quran on muhammed when he was weak while in mecca were peaceful. but when he assumed power in medina he became war wager.

Ok the Muslims were ordered not to divide themselves into sects like the Chrisitans and Jews. So the Sunni and Shiites are idiots for not following those rules. Yes Islam means submission to ALLAH or peace. It has nothing to do with Jihad. It has more to do with Shiites believing that A member of the branch of Islam that regards Ali and his descendants as the legitimate successors to Muhammad and rejects the first three caliphs.
Sunnis on the other hand believe The branch of Islam that accepts the first four caliphs as rightful successors of Muhammad. That's mainly why they divided and are now killing each other along with Saddam killing all the Shiites during the first Gulf war and favoring the Sunnis.

Secondly do you actually know whats the definition of Islam & Muslim is, here it is:

Islam: is derived from the word salaam meaning peace.
Islam:Submission to the Will of Allah (swt) i.e. God Almighty.
Meaning of ‘Muslim’ – One who submits his will to Allah.

Media maligns Islam:
Media is in the hands of the westerners who are afraid of Islam. The media is continuously broadcasting and printing information against Islam. They either provide misinformation about Islam, misquote Islam or project a point out of proportion, if any.

How fast is it, what is its average fuel consumption, what are the safety measures, etc. Even if I agree for the sake ofargument that the Muslims are bad, we can’t judge Islam by its followers? want to judge how good Islam is then judge it according to its authentic sources, i.e. the Glorious Qur’an and the Sahih Hadith.

Judge Islam by its best follower i.e. Prophet Mohammed (pbuh):
If you practically want to check how good a car is put an expert driver behind the steering wheel. Similarly the best and the most exemplary follower of Islam by whom you can check how good Islam is, is the last and final messenger of God, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Besides Muslims, there are several honest and unbiased non-Muslim historians who have acclaimed that prophet Muhammad was the best human being. According to Michael H. Hart who wrote the book, ‘The Hundred Most Influential Men in History’, the topmost position, i.e. the
number one position goes to the beloved prophet of Islam, Muhammad (pbuh).There are several such examples of non-Muslims paying great tributes to the prophet, like Thomas Carlyle, La-Martine, etc.

It is a misnomer to use the word, ‘peace’, to describe the religion of Islam. There is much more in the Koran about using the sword to kill infidels and capture land (eventually the entire planet) for the Muslim moon god (as in the crescent moon symbol of Islam), Allah. Peace, as applied to this religion, is only a theoretical concept that will only occur once the whole world is forced to convert to Islam (by choice or by the sword). Paradoxically, Jihad (holy war) is the Islamic means to peace. The end justifies the means. Extreme violence and terror are acceptable because they will lead to the coming of Islam's 'messiah', the12th Imam, who will bring (by force) Islam on the entire world. If you don't believe this, just listen to what Ahmadinejad (president of Iran) has been saying publicly. Interestingly, the supposed religion of ‘peace’ would be more than willing to issue a call for my execution for what I have just written. Obviously, the concept of peace doesn’t translate into tolerance.

It is the Peace that comes from Allah. Also righteousness is to deny partners with Allah. Forget that the God of Abraham is Yahweh Elohim (plural of Allah).

Righteousness is based on their spiritual leaders perception of the Koran, Hadith, etc... It is self righteous pious. So Muslims judge that some aren't good enouph Muslims (they might not agree on Koranic meaning).

In English Islam means I slam. Islam is a word derived from the Hebrew word Shalom that means peace.

Bush called it a crusade, they're simply disguising the banner of Christianity. Shia are not considered muslims but most prominent scholars. Serbs(orthodox) did the killing and the Bosnians(muslims) did the dying, doesn't sound like war. Perhaps you should do a bit more research. Remember Iraq did not attack the US, it was the other way around.

The word islam does not mean peace, it means submission. Peace in Islam comes from people submitting to Islam and will be obtained when the whole world is finally Islamic.

Islam doesn't mean war, but islamic militants do. But don't get confused - when they kill each other - that's just a power struggle inside muslim communities. When someone wins and they all unite under one leadership - then they remember they have an outside enemy - us. And they start killing non-muslims...

Islam, if you read the Koran without interpretations, is a very peaceful religion. In fact, most religions do preach for peace. It's the followers of those religions who twist the words around for their own profit. If you look at the root of all of the major conflicts, you'll find that the issue is most often not religion, but rather money and power.
