I got married in Vegas in '01 and the thing about Vegas is you can have anything you want in a wedding. You can have cheesy Elvis or very elegant...it is totally up to you.

If you ware going for a very, elegant upscale wedding with friends and family, I would reccomend the wedding packages at the Venetian hotel. The hotel is modeled after Italy with Gondola rides and the whole nine yards. They will do everything for you and you will arrive to find that you will have a wedding that resembles something you would see in a movie. This is very pricey though.

We got married at a small chapel called the Heather and it was small and quaint and it was just us. It was a very fast ceremony -- maybe 5 minutes and felt more like something out of a bad Dukes of Hazzard episode than a real wedding.

They also have wedding chapels that are drive thrus. You literally drive up to a window similar to the window at Burger King and McDonalds and get married. You have to have your own car or rent a car to do this though because Vegas ordinances prevent taxis from participating in drive thru weddings.

You can also get Elvis to marry you or someone dressed as an a lien or you can have a Star Trek themed wedding at the Las Vegas Hilton. It is totall up to you. It all depends on what you want. Wedding packages range from about $125 for the wedding to thousands upon thousands at the Venetian...it is your day so you can make it whatever you want it to be in Vegas

sounds like a great thing to do. We got married on the Bellagio terrace overlooking the lake - the fountains play for you at the end of the cermeony which is fantastic. But there are some very pretty independent chapels too - Little Chapel of the Flowers, Little Church of the West and Graceland Wedding Chapel are particularly good.

I've attached a link to a site that lets you browse every chapel in Vegas (all 71 of them) but also lets you search every available wedding ceremony by cost and theme/traditional ceremony.

Good luck - and have fun!

My husband and I got married in Las Vegas. We got married at Chapel of the Bells, but if I were to do it again I would get married at the Little White Chapel. It costs less at LWC- around 50 dollars, not including 30 dollar gratuity.

Get a Vegas package that combines airfare and hotel.

The marriage license in Las Vegas is 55 or 60 dollars.

I got married in Vegas at the Hollywood Wedding Chapel. It's on the strip by the Stratosphere. It was a low key ceremony (the chapel seats 30, I think) but our entire package was $125 and included everything (even a limo ride from and to our hotel). For an extra $100, Elvis will even walk you down the aisle.

I was planning a wedding in vegas but had to change plans. www.vegasweddings.com was very helpful, to us. Check the Clark County website to find out when you can go for a license, I think you have to wait for 3 or 4 hours fter getting the license to have the ceremony. Keep in mind that New Years Eve is a BUSY wedding time in egas. make some plans befor you get there, try the chapel in the Hotel you plan to stay at. GOOD LUCK.

My wife and I got married a few years ago in a place that we thinkw as called "The LIttle White Wedding Chapel." It was quick, fun, and easy. Apparently a bunch of very famous people have been married there as well. It wasnt in the greatest part of town though.

I was actually in a wedding in Las Vegas. My uncle got married at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino. It was nice...I mean the Flamingo hotel was nice. They stayed in a suite and it had a nice view of the pool area.
