Jehovah's Witnesses preach a message of "good news", and leave all judging for Jehovah and Jesus to perform "on the last day".

(Acts 10:36,42) Declare to them the good news of peace through Jesus Christ: this One is Lord of all others. ...this is the One decreed by God to be judge of the living and the dead

(John 11:23-25) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” 24 Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life.

(John 12:48-49) The word that I [Jesus] have spoken is what will judge [a person] in the last day; 49 because I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment

(John 8:16) if I do judge, my judgment is truthful, because I am not alone, but the Father who sent me is with me

(Matthew 12:36) They will render an account concerning it on Judgment Day

(John 5:22,27-30) [The Father] has committed all the judging to the Son... 27 And he has given him authority to do judging, because Son of man he is. 28 Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out... I judge; and the judgment that I render is righteous, because I seek, not my own will, but the will of him that sent me.

(Acts 17:30-31) God has overlooked the times of such ignorance, yet now he is telling mankind that they should all everywhere repent. 31 Because he has set a day in which he purposes to judge the inhabited earth in righteousness by a man [Jesus] whom he has appointed

I don't know what Jehovah's Witnesses think of atheists, but I see you have some good answers here already. In my opinion, as a Mormon, I suspect that most atheists are usually very left-brained thinkers, that is, they place great emphasis on logic and reason and having to be able to understand the world around them based only on their senses and mind. However, if you are too left-brained, sometimes the right brain capacity for feeling and intuition gets ignored, not entirely, mind you, but to a large degree. That may be why so many atheists on this site post questions which seem "judgmental" to some believers. Believing in something which can't be seen is difficult for some. Another possibility is that atheists have had limited spiritual experience in the past, but then something happened to make them stop striving to slow down and wait for answers to prayers. There is also the possibility that something has greatly disappointed them in the past, and so they decide it's easier to rely on themselves and their own "logic."

I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and I can tell you that we do not judge anyone, and I do agree with krobin; I can't say I blame them with all the hypocrisy out there. When I encounter them at the door I always ask them if they always felt that way and why they feel that way. Many people are just very embittered with religion and that is what drew them to atheism.

However the atheist on this sight on occasion do tend to be a bit close minded. An example of this is that some will ask a really good questions on bible verses; most likely with the agenda of proving the Bible wrong, but then they will receive really good answers totally reasonable explaining the scripture, but will choose the utterly ridiculous answer, that is completely erroneous, and of course share their agenda. Of course I recognize that many people are just being facetious.

But really they are people like the rest of us who are exercising their free will. So no I don't think any less of them, if that is what you mean.

I view Atheists as not being any closer to Jehovah than most other religions. The few Atheists I have talked with seemed more willing to listen to my explanations of why Christmas is NOT Christian than those who have spent years listening to why it is. I try to treat them with the same respect and dignity that all Humans should treat each other with. I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

I'm one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

The way religion looks these days, I really can't say I blame the atheists one bit.

I do believe that I've found the truth and would hope that any atheist or any searching person would find it too - but as the Mormon poster above said, I try to treat all people with respect and dignity regardless of their personal beliefs. Jehovah created each of us with free will.

Mormans and Jehovah Witnesses are not grouped into the same religious sect. I am not affiliated with either of these but I assume that, like any other religious affiliation, they just consider an atheist as not realizing the great truth that Christ is very real!

I also wouldn't group the two, but for the sake of knowing, that's fine. I am a Mormon, and I think everyone has the right to believe as they wish. I am respectful of all people regardless. I am actually married to an agnostic, and we support each other and show mutual respect. Of course, I wouldn't be a Mormon if I didn't believe it was true, and I will share my thoughts or beliefs with those that want to know, buy I would never impose them upon anyone.

JWs likely don't think any differently about an atheist than anyone else. They are not out there to convert an atheist, Muslim, or anyone else to being a JW. They are out there seeking those whose hearts are questioning and seeking answers that today's religions are not giving them. They are seeking people who are seeking solace in a religion that treats them as an equal and not as someone to be told what to believe.

I think that they're people just like me except that I believe and live my life according to Jehovah's standards as well as I can and they don't.

If they seriously want to learn about Jehovah, I'd help them.

I'm a lDS
I believe atheists has their freeagency to believe or to reject,
So long they do not start attacking LDS with false accusation, I
think they are nice people like every one else.

And please do not group JW with LDS, JW actually print out anti mormon pamphlets about LDS. LDS do not waste time on attacking other religion.
