I work as a paper carrier with only about 42 papers a day to deliver. Last night I woke up with pain starting in the tips of my fingers going all the way up to my shoulder. Years ago I suffered with this and lost many hours of sleep due to it.

Is there a way to kill the pain during the night? Any tips?

Take Motrin for the pain, prior to going to sleep.

That is a short term solution to the problem, however.

You need to change the way you deliver the News papers.

Alternate hands and arms.

I had the same problem years ago with a computer Mouse.

I trained my self to you the Mouse with my left hand...not an easy task for a right handed person. Also, use stretching exercises to relieve the stress in the arm that bothers you.

Wear wrist braces like these other people have said, the reason is so you keep your wrist at a neutral poistion. it really does help. I had it in both arms along with unior nerve do the sugery in my right and they did the unior nevr but I would say learn to keep it in a brace and remember to stay in a neutral position.. you will be suprised at the difference..

I wear wrist braces while typing and even sleep in them when mine gets bad, but I don't think mine is as bad as yours.
