what is your favorite store-bought polish pierogi that tastes closest to homemade. ( I usually like to make mine from scratch but because of circumstances I have no time this year) My friends love pierogis so I would like to find a store bought one that would taste almost as good as the ones you make yourself. Also, how do you prepare them.

I'd imagine that any store-bought pirogi will be about the same. What you can do is cook them as directed (probably boil), then drain and fry in a little butter until slightly crispy on the outside.

Serve with a dollop of sour cream.

Well around here some older Polish ladies make them and sell them. You can get them in almost any variety you can think of from prune to potato. I live in NE Ohio, so I doubt that would help you. I won't eat the ones from the store, there is just no comparing them to homeade.

I had some real good pierogi's from Trader Joe's. I am sorry I do not remember the brand. they were IQF and very tasty.

Mrs T's are the best. I fry them with a little butter and onion.
